Pokemon Amiibo
I love amiibo, I own several of the smash bros amiibo like Ness, Link, King Dedededededededede, Wii Fit Trainer, Villager, and a few Pokemon ones. I think they should make an official Pokemon Amiibo line for the 30th anniversary as a sort of mystery gift, with each amiibo coming with special Pokemon like a shiny of that Pokemon, I understand that the games don't really have a need for them but there is so much they could expand on with an amiibo line. Plus Nintendo hasn't had any really had big games for amiibo so this would be really cool.

Given that Pokémon primarily makes its revenue through merchandise, I am amazed that they haven't made more Pokémon Amiibo.
Making all 1000+ might be a bit much, but they could easily produce some of the favourites. I imagine starters and legendaries are an obvious first choice.
Gardevoir and Vaporeon would probably sell well. Might help sales of Mason jars, too.

@grriffinn Yes but that was for a side series I think actual amibo wouldn’t flop

It’s not about it being a side series and more to do with The Pokémon Company testing NFC technology and realizing it’s just not worth investing, just look at how Nintendo is extremely sheepish about touching VR technology after the failure of the Virtual Boy system.
Another problem with making more Pokémon amiibo is that amiibos are a Nintendo thing, that means Nintendo and TPC have to go through a bit of legal red tape to make it happen. You’ll also run into issues with Pokémon amiibo really only having unique functions in Pokémon games themselves (and if they do have an effect in a non-Pokémon game expect them to either be dumbed down, somewhat unique but easily replicated with other non-Pokémon amiibo, or a generic effect).
