On an entirely unrelated matter, I have a stunning revelation for the users of this forum. People may occasionally make exaggerated, absurd or misleading statements for the purposes of humour.
In some circles I have heard it referred to as a "joke".

@Hey_PIKMIN I am not agitated. Do I come across as agitated? That wasn't my intent.
I am very sarcastic, though. That is difficult to interpret through text, I admit. Humour in general is difficult to interpret on a text based forum, without social cues like tone of voice or facial expressions.
And I am unreservedly critical of the Pokémon franchise. Not because I hate it, but because I want to see it improve.
I have loved it since I was a primary schooler, but over time, particularly in the last decade or so, the quality of the series seems to have declined.
Features have been removed while bugs and poor optimisation seems to plague the series. It hasn't modernised as well as other franchises, with things such as voice acting (that would be the bare minimum expectation for every other home console franchise) remaining a bar that is just too high to clear for Pokémon.
We only JUST got full camera control in the latest games. A feature that was a selling point back in the days of the N64.
And yet the fans still buy it in droves, it breaks sales records and became the highest grossing media franchise on Earth (I might have mentioned that on these forums somewhere once or twice).
I complain not because I want to ruin anyone's fun or I hate the series. I want it to be the best it could be. That will not happen if we cannot critique the games and obligingly hand over our money without a word of protest.

I agree, last year I started to step away from Pokemon and play other games it's been a lot of fun. Also if you'd like a good Pokemon like experience you should check out Yo-Kai Watch, some of the games are pricey but the first one is really cheap the secound game is even the 10th best selling 3ds game!
