birthdays for pokemon games
my birthday is soon and i realized as time has passed by there has been less things in pokemon games that make your birthday special every generation if you play on your birthday does anyone else feel they should do more for players birthday in future pokemon titles

yeah probably. They should give you a sort of side quest every year for your birthday each one being different.

In most games gens 6-8 (I think), the Pokémon Center has a new theme (that's either the Happy Birthday song or a remix of the usual theme, I can't remember), Nurse Joy congratulates you (that one's in gen 5 too), and there's also a Birthday Icon in the Pokémon Center.
In gens 4-7 (idk if SwSh has this too) you could go to certain places on your Birthday, like the snowy parts of Mt. Silver in HGSS, or Frost Cavern in XY, Mount Lanakila in SM/USUM, and more, but instead of the usual snow or hail, they'd have Diamond Dust which has no battle effects, nor does it even appear in battles, but it's really cool!
In DPPt, if you talked to the professor's assistant during your Birthday, they congratulate you.
And more stuff that's easier to just check on **** (just search "Birthday" there).

My birthday just passed not long ago and I didn't even think to check since I was happier playing animal crossing wild world (all I got was a gift from my villager Roald)
