yeah they won’t because I predicted 7 years worth of stuff each time I posted I made it more clear that it was less work because you didn’t seem to notice

@MajorBrendan I would have to politely disagree with you releases are probably not going to slow down if they do they could lose the constant fanbase because they didn’t have content for a year the more likely situation is that a lot of smaller projects would be handed out to other companies like ILCA

Personally I think that maybe, if they're really going to slow down releases, we'll still get spinoffs, remakes, Legends, etc., but gens will be 4 years long instead of 3.

I doubt we'll get less releases every year.

@UnovanZorua That's what I've been saying I think that we will get a game every year but not all done by gamefreak

We might even get two games, one in April (Game Freak 35 years anniversary.) And one in November 2024. the question is which one is developed by the second team of Gamefreak and which one is developed by ILCA. Another option is that generation 10 comes with the Switch 2. (That the second team developed a main game in place of the legends successor. It is also possible that Legends Arceus was a test game for a new type of main game. Lately the Pokémon games have a lot performance issues. And the problem is that the games engine starts to get old, so Legends Arceus had a renewed game engine.) And if this is true, then we might get a glimpse of the next generation and maybe a trace of the switch two. How unlikely it is, I'm still hoping for it. The reason is simple. My switch won't live for another year.

I saw the trailer for Pokemon Legends, Turns out it's Called Pokemon Legends Z-A. And it be taking place at Kalos. On top of that, it would be releasing in 2025. Meaning The news of the company considering slowing down releases is fact.

Hopefully the pace does slow down, but it's not just about the timing. What really matters will be whether Gamefreak use that extra time to improve the quality of the games they release.

Releasing games of the current standard, just slower, is a step down if anything.

Does that mean gen 10 in 2027? Assuming they don't get saddled with other projects, that would hopefully lead to some improvements.

Remember though, Gamefreak don't only develop Pokémon. They develop other games for other platforms, too. I hope they don't use the extra time to take on more non-Pokémon projects and end up overextending themselves anyway.
