Damage
Can someone explain how sometimes my opponents attack damage, just doesn't make sense... Their card says 1 thing like Espathra, isn't it something like 30+ 30 more damage per energy attached to both active Pokémon, we're both sat with 2 energy cards I'm using a card with 2x weakness to Dark, he does 300 damage to me...
This isn't the first time I've noticed unusual damage counters... My opponent did have a defiance belt, so that's 30 (for the move) +60 (for his energy) +60 (for my energy) +30 (defiance belt) = 180... Where did the other 120 damage come from? He had Mimikyu, Xatu and Manaphy on the bench... Make it make sense

What do you mean? None... He was attaching to his bench his turn, the first attack did 240 to a Pokémon weak to grass, he had 2 energy attached, I had 1, by my calculations, that's 30+30+60=120x2=240, that is correct... Then I sent out Mew EX, that had 2 energy on, he did 300, which doesn't make sense to me! How?!

What Techhog means is that if one of the energies was a double turbo energy, it would've done more damage, since DTE counts as two energy, even though it is still only one card. I don't wanna get too involved in this discussion, though. I'm horrible at math and it looks like this stuff requires a lot.

Ooh, my Mew had 2 fighting energy and his had the 2 Psychic energy it needed... Actually, I just checked, it only needs 1 Psychic energy, but it had 2 nonetheless... Wish this forum would allow photos, I'd have screenshot it at least
