I like the games more. I have tried the TCG but just find the battles too confusing

Both, I think both the TCG and the games are really fun

The TCG just looks hard to understand, and I'd rather not have to buy new popular or usable cards each series. I'm not really a fan of competitive battling in general though thanks to how complicated it is and having a time limit, so a game where that's the entire thing but very different and unfamiliar is not something I'd enjoy.
The Pokémon video games are much simpler, I don't have to think too much, no need to stress about time, I don't need to always choose the best option, and they have a lot more things for me to get interested in like minigames, characters, stories, and worlds.

TCG all the way. in fact, I'm more into the strategy of the game than I am into Pokemon. I play the TCG cause I like the gameplay,
