    Gen 2 was the peak of Pokémon. Without gen 2 we would not have the special stats, breeding, held items, shinies, apricorn balls, radios, rematches, trainers with names, the Steel and Dark types, box legendaries, animated front sprites, and the Battle Tower. Crystal was also the first game with internet connectivity.

    HeartGold was a gorgeous recreation of my first-ever Pokémon game, and walking Pokémon were a fantastic addition, too. Legends: Arceus comes close!

    Heartgold Soulsilver gotta be the best. So much content and replayability, just a perfect remake of the original Gold/Silver. Beautiful sprite work, amazing soundtrack. It's just supreme.

    Either the Gen 6 or Alola games. They feel nice to play, and they're nostalgic to me.

    My favorites are Ruby and Omega Ruby. One of my favorite pokemon is Tropius!

    Probably Legends Arceus and Violet because they are open world.
