why are most pokemon anime girls contest players?
i HATE how now a days girls are just ads for pokemon contests, like dawn,may and sereana. like the only good ones were iris and misty.

It's rather a decision made by the current and past writers for the Pokemon anime. Once I work for the Pokemon Company, I actually have 1 pokemon anime girl that would be more into battle to keep up with the boy she has a crush on.

Not to mention how a lot of them are implied to like Ash. It's OK once in a while, but I came here to see Pokémon and adventures, not a romance between kids who are twelve or eleven at most.
Anyway Serena in Kalos contests was unnecessary but May and Dawn were good advertising as Brock and Ash aren't really the kind of people who would do contests and they need ads for the new features.
