Dunsparce passive ability not working?

Today someone was playing a lightning deck against the Lugia deck and my Dunsparces Mysterious Nest ability didn't seem to be working. It was on my bench. Am I missing something? I thought my ⭐ pokemon were supposed to have no weakness with that ability.

Any feedback would be helpful, might just take it out of my deck if it's not even going to work how it's supposed to

    Could you be more specific about what Pokemon your opponent had and what attack it seemed to use? Dunsparce has worked properly for me in both my Lugia VSTAR and Hisuian Zoroark VSTAR decks.
