Forums journey in Tepdral [Part 2: Route 1]

After some careful consideration, you choose your starter Pokémon: a male Torchic.

Carolin excitedly stops you before you leave Celyn’s lab, requesting a Pokémon battle before you leave.

“My Panpour is strong against your Torchic!” She says, and you know she’s right, as you’ve studied up on type effectiveness in preparation for this day.

You accept her challenge, and, after a long battle, unfortunately lose. You can’t help but feel dejected, but it’s nice to see your best friend so happy about winning.

Determined to win the second time you battle, you enter Route 1 to catch a new Pokémon.

Upon entering, you see a Lillipup, Swellow, Pumpkaboo, Comfey, Morpeko, and… is that an oddly-coloured Kricketot?!
