Pokémon GO – Sort Pokémon by Evolutionary Family

I would love to see a new sorting option in Pokémon GO that groups Pokémon by their complete evolutionary family, rather than only by Pokédex number.

With so many cross-generation evolutions, related Pokémon are often separated by hundreds of Pokédex entries.

For example, Mankey, Primeape and Annihilape should appear together.

This would make comparing IVs, managing duplicates and deciding which Pokémon to evolve much easier, especially for players with large Pokémon storage.

The existing +Pokémon search feature is useful, but a dedicated sorting option for the entire storage would be a great quality-of-life improvement.

I can't comment much about that suggestion because I haven't played Pokemon GO in a while...

But this makes me think if I should go back to it... now with Unite gone I have a void to fill lol

I'll think about it... then if I go back I'll try to remember to comment about this suggestion.

you can already sort by dex number which is pretty close. And do you really need to put something next to its cross-gen evolution? This won’t even be seen by that development team as that’s completely separate though from Pokemon they don’t run it.

im pretty sure that you can just search up a Pokémon’s name and tick the “show evolutionary line” box
