Why does the 30th anniversary feel more like a funeral than a celebration?

First we have Pokemon Bank's End of service which effectively cuts off the connections between first 7 generations of pokemon from the GBA to the 3DS and the Switch games and you'll no longer be able to have the option to transfer them from the physical cartridge versions, the 3DS eshop, or the VC versions. Now we have Pokemon UNITE's End of service?

Why can't we get offline versions of these software that we spent money on? I wish TPC would make it so that Pokemon Bank could connect to HOME locally via LAN or some local wireless connection and store pokemon on the sd card/3ds. Pokemon UNITE also apparently has an offline mode. It's really gutting to see this news.

    you’re kinda right now that I think of it. Plus gen 10 isn’t coming out until next year. Not too long of a wait imo as long as it’s good.

    I never used pokemon bank but that seriously stinks for others.

    And unite’s Eos is just annoying. And sad. sigh
