New Bad Guys? Or Are They Good Guys?
Hey! I was posting on @AlolanCassian's intro page, and had a thought.
In the Pokémon series (the games, at least), there's a trope where the big bad guys are always bent on world domination, wiping the slate clean before building a new world.
The closest a bad guy has come to having good intentions (in my personal experience and opinion) is Lysandre.
But what if there was a game where there was a man who wanted to set a shining example, and also a stereotypical Pokémon big baddie?
Then the player could pick a side and go on epic quests to support either ending.
Thoughts?
(This might make a bit more sense if you check @AlolanCassian's intro. Look for my posts.)

Also, I would like to say I'm far from stereotypical
I am at a level none can understand
A misunderstood genius ready to do what it takes to save the world

I do not want more misunderstood villains it is being overused just pure evil is fine.

Please no.

Didn't Lysande want to kill everyone he didn't consider beautiful? Team Rocket weren't good guys, but petty thieves are much less evil.
Many of the problems with "evil" teams in the Pokémon series stem from the fact that they use Team Rocket as the model, despite often having very different motives. But gen 1 did it, so modern Pokémon also must do it.
Taking over the Pokéball factory makes sense for a group that want to steal Pokémon. Why did Team Flare do it?

that trope has been run into the ground by a 9282727289192 Ton truck

I think the whole misunderstood vs. pure evil thing is foolish. I just want fleshed out, well-written characters that feel like real, complex people.

Pure evil is pretty boring honestly… I love to hate someone when they have reasoning behind their actions but I still hate the actions!
