Fix Rest

Pokémon Champions needs to seriously reconsider Rest as a competitive move.

I just spent nearly 30 minutes in a battle against a Snorlax repeatedly using Rest, and it exposed a frustrating problem with the game's competitive balance. Rest fully restores a Pokémon's HP, and when combined with sufficient bulk and defensive support, it can turn a match into an exhausting war of attrition rather than a meaningful test of skill.

The problem isn't simply Snorlax. It's the potential for Rest to enable repetitive, drawn-out gameplay that leaves the opponent spending far more time trying to make progress than actually engaging in meaningful strategy.

I understand that defensive play has a place in competitive Pokémon. However, defensive strategies should still create opportunities for counterplay and keep matches engaging. When a single move can repeatedly erase an opponent's progress, it deserves serious scrutiny.

I am asking the development team to review Rest's balance in Pokémon Champions and consider meaningful adjustments. Whether that means changing its healing, increasing its drawbacks, or addressing the strategies that make repeated use so effective, the current experience deserves attention.

Please don't dismiss this as a complaint about losing a match. This is feedback about the quality of competitive gameplay. Players should be rewarded for smart decisions, not forced into excessively prolonged battles that become frustrating rather than competitive.

I’m pretty sure this is singles . This is just my take so nothing personal here . there are some fighting types like conkeldurr and wallbreakers like belly drum Azumarill that can power through . I agree that it is not competitive super viable right now , so maybe they could release more wallbreakers or choice band item.

Choice band could go a long way though . I’m pretty sure banded rillaboom and banded Mamo could power through .

This would not only balance it out a bit but also give us more options - for more pokemon to use and more items to use on various pokemon , opening up more options

I think the problem is with the gameplay being 3 v3 is also another issue . Ideally a good team would have 3 physical and 3 special for an even split (that’s good teambuilding) , and maybe you might need the 3 specially offensive pokemon to answer 5 of opponents pokemon so you bring that , and if opponent brings that 1 remaining physical Pokemon with good bulk (snorlax in this case) , you can’t actually break through.l, because snorlax has such a good HP+ special Defense stat .

    This is just one example.

So simply changing from 3 v 3 to 4 v 4 would address this. Pushing it and making it 6 v 6 is actually bad because that gives rise to stall teams.
