Pokemon Daggerheart Battle Royale

I didn’t really understand that and I don’t have the certain types of dice

Goes over a lot of people's heads the first time. It did for me because it can be a bit intimidating at first for people completely new to it but with enough time and patience, anyone can learn to play Daggerheart.
For those who lack Dice in real life, digital online dice rollers exist. This one: Daggerheart Dice Roller handles the Duality or Dice rolls you'll make to determine whether an action succeeds or not. You set the Trait modifier from +0 to +2 because you are the Ranger class. Both of its Subclasses have the Spellcast Trait of Agility and your primary weapon is the Longbow(an Agility based Weapon). Then you simply click roll and the online dice roller does the rest, spitting out the result for you to post here.
If you succeed(aka hit, which I'll determine for you), you then make a Damage roll. The damage roll will require a different dice. Any online Dice Roller will do but I find this one to be solid: Other Dice Roller(you can use this for Duality Dice rolls if you'd like). When making an attack with your Longbow, you roll a D8 and then add 3 to the result(that's what D8 +3 means). If you made an attack using a Pokémon move, you'd use the corresponding Dice for that instead. Namely if you used Bite, it'd be D6 +2(hence a 6-sided dice and add 2 to the result). Poison Sting would be D4 +1.
I'll do a combat example to try and illustrate this. Let's say you start at the position of 15,1 or smack dab at the bottom of the 30x30 square arena. Your opponent is at 15,15 or 14 squares away from you to the North. Since you are the ONLY character in this contest with a Weapon that has Very Far Range, your Longbow can reach him from where you are without even having to move. You make a Duality roll(2D12 + Agility(Trait on Longbow)) and on success, roll D8 +3. On fail, you miss.
Yet if you wanted to move into range to do a different attack like Bite, you wouldn't be able to do it on your first turn because the max distance you can move without sprinting is 6 squares(by moving from 15,1 to 15,7). You could use your action to sprint to 15,13 by making an Agility roll(2D12 + Agility(+2 for you)) but you'd have to wait until you obtain the spotlight again before you could act and that opponent could move before that happens or try to attack you first. Bite has a range of Melee, so you'd have to be right next to them to try and attack them with it. Namely if a target is at 15,15 you'll have to be at 14,15(to their left), 15,16(above them), 15,14(below them) or 16,15(to their right) to hit them with Bite. Being at 14,14 or directly to their SW is too far because the distance is 2(technically square root of 2 but that's greater than 1).
Similarly, with Poison Sting, the range on that move is Very Close or 3 Squares. So if the target is stationary at 15,15 your radius is any square whose x,y coordinate difference adds up to 3. That would be 12,15(left most tip), 18,15(rightmost tip), 15,18(top) or 15,12(bottom). Anything inside of those 4 points would be on range. 13,14 would be in range(15-13 =2) + (15-14=1); 2 + 1 =3 but 12,14 would not(15-12 =3) +(15-14=1) 3 + 1 = 4.
Complicated I know but that's how TTRPG combat works 🤣🤔🙅 Fortunately for you, you got a braindead approach because your Longbow basically can hit the entire arena from where you stand. If you want to hit something with it, you basically can 😇 But if you ever want to use a Pokémon move, you'll have to move around the arena and get into range to use it.
Any other questions or do have anything that needs clarification or further explanation?

No gloating. Starts Royale in a Net

I'm aware of that. I'll be making a post on my wall for any and all participants who need to find a way to bypass approval. It's not foolproof because posting on profile walls is not exempt from it but it was how I circumvented it back when it plagued me and I was doing Pokémon D&D where you had a fixed turn and held everything up if I didn't respond in a timely manner. With Daggerheart, the Spotlight is fluid or can pass from one individual to the next. It's only if I need you to react to something(say to incoming damage) that it could potentially be a problem. Otherwise if you got the spotlight and approval is an issue, I'll wait until it comes through before I post it.
Unlike Daggerheart campaign, this Royale has no time limit and will go until a victor is declared. That means I'll wait on approval for as long as it takes(24 hours if necessary). This Royale will be chaotic, hence one minor advantage to DnD in that with a combat order it yields a bit of structure or order to the chaos. Yet I'll try to do my best here. Bad enough half of you are doing Expansion classes… shakes fist
Anyways, Royale starts in ~2 hours. I'll get the scene set prior to that. First person to respond with an acknowledgement that they're here will get to act first. @Hades0918 I'm sorry but unfortunately your character will be at a slight disadvantage at the start(you know why) and it's for story reasons. 😇🙅

Eh then your starting situation probably benefits you then if you are late or not going to be here in spirit 😉🙅. Anyways.. need to get a sheet of paper with coordinates to keep track of movement (my penance for not doing a grid combat simulator).
