I loki did't even know this was going to happend but my first fight in pokemon scarlet i ALMOST caught a shiney murkrow

Bidoof. I’m still just as excited to catch them as the first time. Now I’m also chasing xxs ones bc you can actually tell they’re smaller lol (which is just as dumb I know)

Does anyone else tend not to evolve certain shiny Pokémon due to aesthetic reasons? I doubt I'm going to evolve my shiny Psyduck. I ain't entirely interested on owning a shiny Golduck. I ain't keen on the colour palette used or the evolution in general to be honest.

That's an interesting topic of conversation actually... Is there any Pokémon that you purposely don't evolve for any reason? For example, I rarely evolve Togepi. Mainly for aesthetic reasons but, are there certain Pokémon that people don't fully evolve because of changes to certain stats maybe? Does any Pokémon actually get weaker when they evolve?

The only Pokémon I know of is Chansey because while holding the Eviolite item, it's defensively better than it's evolution, Blissey.

Pikachu has 110 base Attack and 100 base Sp. Atk when holding the Light Ball, while Raichu without Mega Evolution only gets 90 in both. The HP, Defenses, and Speed are all still worse on Pikachu, though, so it's not really a downgrade (especially since Raichu can keep its stats without having to hold a specific item).

Based for not evolving togepi. I find a strong togepi gambling with metronome is so fun or despairing but worth a try at least once.
currently i'm doing an unevolved run on sword. Dottler, ivysaur, dwebble, Drizzile, and two exceptions for Wobbuffet and Shuckle. I live those gimmicks. I just need to spend more time in game levelling them and learning more about the game. I haven't figured out fossils or gotten kubfu yet.
