I want to start a Pokemon Club in my area

Hi all, I am a Pokémon fan through and through and have been with the series with yellow being my first game and black and white being my favorite for the rest of time. In addition to being a huge nerd around Pokémon topics I work with kids under Boys and Girls Club and our recent push has been how to get Pokémon into our club as a community thing and generally bring more kids to our facility, how to get parents aware of us more when other afterschool options can be quite pricey, etc.

The DREAM is that once my professor application gets approved i'm able to then have a clear path to being able to organize Play! Pokémon events on weekends and give another alternative to the kids in our small area (other option only being walk around a Wal-Mart, bowling and another after school "hangout spot" that costs somewhere near 100 a week). I however have only seen that store exclusively hold that ability, as well as there being a library "boot camp" for children to get their hands on and learn to play Pokémon.

I have been reaching out to stores and the local library to see what we could do in collaboration (using the club as another location to host), but I've been less than fruitful as most of the store locations around me are built with capacity to host their leagues as well as the library being quite packed with events that they host themselves. I don't know how to solve this problem quite yet and any advice or thoughts about what we could do would be appreciated.

- every Boys and Girls Club is Non-profit
- There are no Local card stores near us that qualify, let alone any card stores in the 10km (~6 mile) radius required for an alternative venue
- we do qualify as an alternative venue, we just aren't a store selling cards
