The Lunacur Wars, Chapter 2

Chapter 2:

Hades looked outside to see three Pokemon approaching, one of them holding a Geodude. The Pokemon seemed to be a Lucario, Riolu, and a Fletchling. "Birb!" Hdes shouted, "Is that you?" Scrambling to the door, the little shiny Fennekin opened it and let in Lord Birb. "Hades!" Birb said in surprise and excitement, "I didn't expect you until next week!" "I came early," Hades replied, "Did you get all the data?" "Almost. I got interrupted," Birb said, "This is Rogue and Rio. We have a lot to tell them." 

After having all sat down at a table, Rogue asked, "So, explain everything. What's wrong with the Geodude? Can you save him?" Birb's face paled as he said, "The Geodude is gone. But yes, we have a lot to explain. Where should I start?" "What's a lunacur?" Rio asked, "Are they a monster of some sort?" "A lunacur is a genetically enhanced Pokemon," Birb started, "They are enhanced by a disease. This disease causes them to change. There are three levels of lunacur. Level three is the least dangerous, distorting type matchups by making a normally super effective move not very effective and vice versa." 

Level two isn't that dangerous, though they make everything do neutral damage. Then, level one... They are the most dangerous. They make everything do 0.1x damage. They get an omni boost every time they attack or are attacked. Their stats can be raised twice as high as a normal Pokemon. They have already doubled stats to begin with. They also get doubled stats in any special weather. The one thing all levels have in common is that they are completely berserk, not knowing what they are doing." 

"Wow," Rogue said, "That was... a lot." "Yeah, it is," Hades said, "Only the first time you hear it though."  

"Really?" Rogue asked.  

"Yeah, you get used to the knowledge," as Hades said this, he knew how much he was hiding from them, but knew not to share. 

 "Well," Birb said, getting everyone's attention, "How about we all get some sleep, we've had a long day." They all agreed, following Birb as he led them to the rooms they would sleep in. "I'll finish explaining everything tomorrow," Birb promised, "What do you think?" "Sure," Rogue said, "I'm just tired at this point." "Me too," Rio said, "Good night." And with that, they all left for bed. But Hades didn't go to bed. Hades went to his lab, not too far out of town. He knew he would be back before anyone woke.
