it also applies to discussions and etc. and also who approves them?

Post approval is typically applied to new accounts. What triggers the approval I don't know but those who've been here awhile and have gotten to 5-stars generally don't have approval issues(if at all). As for who approves them, I'd assume Moderators.

Yes, the mods approve it... usually happens more often to members with low post count, regardless of account age. Also if the text has bad words or the thread is flagged as problematic.

People who aren't 5 stars sometimes have to get their posts/comments approved by moderation. Approval can take anywhere from 1-24 hours and typically if your posts isn't there a day after you made it, it likely didn't pass moderation. I'm a 4-star so only my longer posts and comments need approval, but it's a bit different for every person.

Three. It's right next to your post count. Stars are typically based on your point total so the more Likes, Agrees and lol reactions you get, the faster you'll hit 5-stars. Thing is it might be tied to post-count too but I don't know because I don't know the parameters for what triggers it in the first place.
