i thought in eighth grade when you take advenced math it is only algebra one? and not both?

Generally it's pre-algebra in 7th and algebra in 8th for those who have above average math skills. However, some schools push you harder and sometimes have algebra in 7th and geometry in 8th(or both in one school year if they think you can handle it). Meaning they'll be in algebra II or higher when entering high school. My nieces are in 7th right now and are taking algebra right now(hence they're ahead of even me!).

important question: did the problem look like this with the long division sign
0.1⟌0.0805
because if so then you read the division the wrong way around and the other way is doable without a calculator
i ask this because there is a math worksheet on the internet that uses this question as an example
