Phineas Gage was a railroad worker
Well, there was a tiny mistake and something went BOOM!!!
The explosion cause a railroad track to go through the man's skull and impale his brain
However…
THE MAN JUST GOT UP AND KEPT WALKING!!!
Yeah!
He could walk, talk, and honestly seemed just fine despite people literally being able to see into his head!
And he returned to work the next day!
Yeah, honestly impressive
Anyways, over time people noticed a change in him…
He used to be nice and well mannered, but he became aggressive and (in the words of my school) inappropriate (genuinely not sure how but ain't looking into it)
Anyways, turns out that the part of his brain that was destroyed was the part that regulated emotions, so the man no longer had a filter
