Please Add an Option to Speed Up Battle Animations ⭐

I feel that the time available for each turn is sometimes not enough because some of the in-game animations take too long. For example, when drawing cards with Copycat, the game reveals each drawn card one by one, and this animation uses up a noticeable amount of my turn time.

I would really appreciate having an option to speed up or skip these in-game animations during matches, or to reduce the amount of time spent on visual effects that consume turn time. This would make gameplay feel smoother without affecting the game itself.

Thank you. 🙏

this is something that I think both players would have to consent to.

I think that's also a possible solution. The player whose turn it is could choose to view faster animations, while the opponent continues to see the normal animations if they prefer.

For example, when your opponent draws cards, you don't actually see each card being revealed one by one like they do—you just see the draw animation. So I think it's possible to handle animation speed differently for each player without affecting gameplay. If the developers wanted to implement it, I think they could find a way to make it work.

The problem with two players having different animation times is that it wouldn't update as fast for them, or it would eat into their turn after it passes. Though, I do think you have a point. For instance, even though this is Pocket and not the real TCG, in the real game, if something says "draw four cards," you would usually count them off the top of your deck, place them face down, count them again and then place them in your hand unless the card has an effect related to card numbers. They could (I can't believe I'm saying this) make it like TCG Live and have all four cards drawn at once, with you seeing them all at once, with the ability to look at the battle log to know what you drew if necessary. You should probably ask @Mod_Bee or @Mod_Nova to share this with the Pocket team.

To me the gameplay could simply be faster and smoother without any additional settings.

Checking the battle log takes up too much time on pocket to be practical. Unless it is your opponents turn or you are not going to make a long string of moves. Using it to need to know what you drew with long chains is punishing. More than the animation.

Hi Trainers! I encourage you all to submit your feedback about such a speed-up feature to our team at this link, so we can ensure it gets to the right place.

Alternatively, you can visit support.pokemon.com, choose Pokémon TCG Pocket, and click "Contact Us" on the bottom of your screen. Thank you! 😊
