Because you made me look up your Domain cards for starters and I know you're a Quaxly(hence looked at their moves). I also know you're a Troubador Bard because Wordsmith's strength is on downtime.
Ranger + Bard multiclass is kind of crazy but doesn't start until level 6 with Recovery(Bone) and Forager(Sage). You start with Ranger(Beastbound), multiclass at 5(Bard Wordsmith) and grab Grace Domain so you can get Soothing Speech at level 7 and then grab Wordsmith Specialization at level 8(Tier 4). Elf ancestry(if we were playing normally) further bumps it by permitting 3 downtime moves instead of 2. Basically a glorified Downtime support character since Wordsmith Specialization permits helping another ally with another Downtime move.

Going to formally propose that Pokemon moves take on the following criteria:
Base Power of a move determines the Damage Dice. Base Power of move up to 40 is D4, Base Power 41-60 is D6, Base Power of 61-80 is D8, Base Power of 81-100 is D10 and 101+ is D12. For moves that are Multi-Hit(ex: Fury Attack) will take their Base Power and multiply it by 3(15 x3 = 45 Base Power or D6). Exception is Skill Link ability that bumps it to x5(15 x 5 = 75 or D8).
Number of Damage Dice rolled is based on Base Power/30 rounded down. 0-59 Base Power = 1 Damage Dice, 60-89 Base Power = 2 Damage Dice, 90 -119 Base Power is 3 Damage Dice, and so on up to a max of 5 Damage Dice at 150. This is subject to change/approval by GM.
In addition to standardized Power + number of Damage Dice, STAB will be applied for moves that match the Typing of the Pokemon using it. STAB bonus is based on your Proficiency so for example, take a level 1 Alolan Vulpix using Powder Snow on a Sandshrew.
Base Power of Powder Snow is 40, hence is 1D4 Ice Damage(Magic because it's Special). My Proficiency at level 1 is just 1 so my move is 1D4 + 1(STAB). I roll a 3, add STAB to get 4 and then multiply by Type chart(x2) to get 8 Ice Damage. In the event damage is fractional(say I did 5 damage against a Steel type), you'd round up or 5/2 = 2.5 → 3 Ice Damage.
Again above is subject to change/approval. Only other thing we have to work out is Adaptability ability(what impact that has on STAB bonus), the combat range of Pokemon moves(ex: Far, Close, etc.) and how many targets they hit(some moves hit multiple targets and some also hit allies!).
Also must note that Pokemon moves cost two Hope to use and ignore the hit check so.. yeah.
@clasingla Just out of curiosity but does the Ranger Hope Feature apply to Pokemon moves? It'd cost 5 Hope to pull off but can you imagine dealing all that damage to multiple targets without having to roll for success? Same deal with Wayfinder subclass if they were to mark a Stress for an additional Damage Dice(and force the enemy to Mark Stress if Severe) or would the subclass perk only apply to Equipment and Domain spells?
Yes I think of these things.

That was my initial thought but when you look at the Hope Feature, it says the following:
Hold Them Off: Spend 3 Hope when you succeed on an attack with a weapon to use that same roll against two additional adversaries within range of the attack.
I don't think a Pokemon move is a Weapon. It implies the Equipment we role with and therefore doesn't apply to Domain cards(spells) that the Ranger might have as well.
Now the real question is Ruthless Predator.
Ruthless Predator: When you make a damage roll, you can mark a Stress to gain a +1 bonus to your Proficiency. Additionally, when you deal Severe damage to an adversary, they must mark a Stress.
Since Pokemon moves don't use Proficiency for damage dice(at least the system I proposed doesn't, it would for STAB though), id assume that this doesn't apply save for STAB(in the context I use it(see previous posts)). This would apply to Domain cards though correct, permitting a level 1 Ranger to get an extra D8 for Vicious Entangle if they took it(or is the damage flat and more for restraint and i just misinterpreted the card). It would apply to any spell that is based on Proficiency id think.

Try watching LotR without going: He's a Wizard, he's a Ranger, he's another Ranger, he's a Warrior and so on. Cannot be done. Harry Potter would be one boring TTRPG… everyone is a Wizard.

So I got an idea on Adaptability with respect to the Pokemon move system I proposed. In simplest terms, I figured that it just doubles the STAB bonus like it does in Pokemon. Namely in Pokemon, STAB increases a power of a move by 50%. Adaptability basically doubles it from 50% to 100% so if we apply that same metric here, STAB would be twice your Proficiency.
So a level 1 Eevee using Quick Attack with Adaptability would deal 1D4 Normal(Physical) Damage +2(STAB, would be 1 but Adaptability doubles it). Conversely, a level 1 Eevee using Swift would deal 2D6 + 2 Normal(Magic) Damage using the formula I proposed above. Perhaps we ought to rethink having Swift as a level 1 option? I can see level 2-3 but level 1 might be a bit much considering Eevee learns Swift at level 20.
But yeah Adaptability basically takes STAB from +6 to +12 at Tier 4 on Pokemon moves of the same type provided you upgrade Proficiency as much as possible and can go beyond +6/+12 if you got the Class means to do so(Ranger Wayfinder or Sorceress Elemental Origin are just a couple examples).
Compare that to the current perk of adding half of the highest rolled dice to your damage roll. Given level 1, you'd need a roll of 3 or better on a D4 just to match the proposed system above. D6 would need 3 or better until Proficiency goes up at level 2 and then my proposal gives +4, which is crazy good. D6 can't even match it with +3 on a 5 or 6. 🙅

Aragorn = Ranger(Tracks like Legolas and knows the land)
Legolas = Ranger(Bow + Elf)
Gimli = Warrior(Dwarves)
Hobbits: Frodo + Sam = Rogues, Merry and Peppin = Bards
Gandalf = Wizard(Staff + Spells, contemplated Sorcerer but that didn't fit)
Boromir = Warrior
I think that fits. Wouldn't know how to do the prequel.
