Ok don't say I didn't warn you. We run across Vulpix, I'm trapping it and will kill my fellow adventurers if they lay a hand on it. Probably will be like Monster Hunter games.
I might go and take Pokemon 5e and begin the arduous task of converting it into Daggerheart. Might start with Trainer origins and making them Community but will have to add Paldea and w/e they call Gen 10. Trainer Path would be the various Classes with each Class having two Subclasses that id have to Homebrew(ugh). Specializations would be the equivalent of Domains but how would I convert that... Ugh. 🙅

You do realize that if we come across Fennekin, @UnovanZorua will kill anyone that touched it. Come across Espurr, @clasingla will assassinate you and so on. It'll be less of a co-op and more like Survivor.

Disclaimer: Following is incomplete and possibly imbalanced. This might take me weeks, if not months to finish but when done could be incredibly popular.
So I'm going to convert Pokemon 5e into Daggerheart. Instead of having 9 Domains, we will instead have 18, or one for each TYPE! Within each Type will be various Pokemon moves via TM's that you can use to teach your Pokemon that move immediately unless they already know it via Level up and may be used indefinitely. Finding TM's that aren't listed in the Domain are entirely possible.
Your Weapon are your Pokemon and your Pokemon damage thresholds are dictated by their stats. Each Pokemon will have two thresholds, one for Physical and one for Special. Major threshold takes Base Defense stat and divides by 10(rounded up) so an Alolan Vulpix would be 40/10 = 4 for Physical attacks but 65/10 = 6.5 or 7 for Special. Severe would be Base stat/5 or 8 and 13 respectively. Pokemon level is added to the total for 5/9 and 8/14 respectively. When a Pokemon evolves, so too does their Damage Thresholds.
A Pokemon may avoid incoming damage via Evasion. Their Evasion is their Speed Stat/10 rounded up so Alolan Vulpix is 65/10 or 7. If an attack should succeed, they may reduce the damage by "dodging". This is dictated by their Speed stat/10 rounded up but cannot exceed 12 Dodge slots so fast Pokemon get Penalized a bit but so are slow Pokemon because they can Dodge only so many times. Similarly, Bulky Pokemon get Penalized because HP is determined by HP stat/10 rounded up but cannot exceed 12 HP slots. Do not pick Blissey to test me on this.
Each time a Pokemon uses an attack, they accrue Stress. Each Pokemon has 6 Stress slots that may be increased as they level up and may have up to 12 Stress slots.
Each Type uses a particular Trait on Attack rolls. Strength is utilized by Rock, Ground and Steel, Agility is used by Flying, Bug and Normal, Finesse is used by Dark, Poison and Ghost, Instinct is used by Psychic, Fighting and Electric, Presence is used Ice, Fairy and Dragon and finally Knowledge is used by Fire, Grass and Water. How you assign your Traits will dictate how well Pokemon of that type Battle for you.
Each Trainer will have an origin or Community card that permits them to start with any regional starter or Pokemon with a Base Stat of 350 or less from that region. Basically if the Pokemon is from that region, you can use it. They may also get a second perk that I haven't quite ironed out yet.
Your Trainer Class will dictate their Domain specialty along with a few unique perks as you develop it. Unlike in Daggerheart, you are not locked to a particular Domain but you can't access the other Domains until level 5 and can only take Domain cards(aka TM's) of your Trainer level/2 rounded up so pick your Trainer Class wisely!
Here are the Trainer Classes that I've adapted/Homebrewed so far:
Youngster Joey: Access to Normal and Poison Domains. Youngster Joey trainers love to wear shorts and excel at using Normal Type Pokemon.
Foundation: +1 Pokemon slots(may not exceed 6).
Specialization: Gain +2 to Normal type attack rolls
Mastery: Reroll any Normal Damage dice that are a 1 or 2.
Bug Catcher: Access to Bug and Flying Domains. Bug Catchers are obsessed with Bug Pokemon and yield combat bonuses to Bug Types.
Foundation: +1 bonus to Agility
Specialization: Bug Pokemon may learn one additional move on level-up.
Mastery: +2 Evasion to Bug Types.
Above is subject to change and would obviously need massive balance but is just something I'm brainstorming right now. Id have to Iron out the Trainer classes and have at least 9 to ensure that they get all 18 Domains. Pokemon 5e has 13 Trainer Classes but I might Homebrew 5 more to get 18 and subsequently have all 18 Domains applied twice. I'd also have to Iron out level up, downtime and other things. Just an entire project that might kill me in due time lol.
