All game modes count up to it except for customs, practice, and solo modes, (solo as in the solo mode, not playing by yourself) but I recommend if you really are aiming to get up there, do not use it in ranked and or against real people because having a high win rate (90% or above) is crucial for getting up there, now that's just from my experience and this is entirely my recommendation, sooo... Yeah 😵‍💫

That's all just based off of my experience, like Mega Char X I only use against bots and I still have 100% over 300+ battles, when I battle against real people I either use Blaziken or Scizor, (although Scizor is fun ro play with anytime but both Blaziken and Scizor are my most reliable, and Since Blaziken only has a 70% win rate :b It's fine if he gets a few losses here or there) but totally, play how you like, how you are most comfortable
