Raging Claws Ursaring Bug

Ursaring had no damage on it but it was able to use the attack at full power on my Pokemon. It's possible the bug happened because it was evolved to Ursaluna and it was using an ability from a Celebi that was allowing it to use attacks from a previous evolution via its ability...? Anyway, it's my first time posting, but I just wanted to point this out to bring it to the developers' attention. Thank you.

Your wording is a bit confusing... I'm not sure what you mean by "attack at full power", I mean how much damage it did exactly? and which one attacked, Ursaring or Ursaluna?

Anyway, I'll try to explain… Raging Claws attack does 40 base damage plus the damage on Ursaring... with Celebi in play, Ursaluna is able to use that same attack.

Without more details I don't see any issue here.

    Sorry, I'll try to clarify.

    Starting with your questions:

    1. From my memory it did 160 damage (I'll discuss the issue below)
    2. The player used Celebi's ability to access an attack from Ursaluna's previous evolution of Ursaring. It was Ursaluna using Raging Claws from Ursaring.

The main point is this: The Pokemon had 0 damage on it. The attack says: "This attack does more damage equal to the damage this Pokemon has on it."

The attack did 160 (or something that was triple digits, I can't quite remember). The base attack is 40. Add all of the damage it had on it, which was 0, to that base of 40. So, the attack should have done 40.

Either this is a bug or the attack was adding how much health it had remaining, not how much damage it had on it. In that case, it should be worded: "This attack does more damage equal to the remaining HP of this Pokemon."

Sorry, I'll try to clarify. I'll start by answering your questions.

    1. From my memory, it did 160. If it wasn't exactly that, it was something in the triple digits.

    2. As you said, Ursaluna used Celebi's ability to access the attack of Raging Claws from Ursaring.

I apologize for the "full power" wording. Retracting that phrasing, my main point is this: Ursaluna had 0 damage on it. It had 140 HP remaining of its 140 HP.

The attack is phrased: "This attack does more damage equal to the damage this Pokemon has on it." Since it had 0 damage on it, we add that 0 to the 40 and we get 40. That's how much the attack should have done at that point, not something in the triple digits.

Either this is some kind of bug or the attack is worded incorrectly and it's actually adding the amount of remaining HP to the attack. In which case, that's how the attack should be worded.

Maybe they used a different attack? without the battle log it's hard to be sure if it's a bug or something you missed.
