I'm gonna answer this with real Pokemon characters!
Larry: Gives half an effort yet still manages to get a good score, surprising everyone (including himself)
Kabu: Sets a new record on it
Peony: Beats Kabu's record right after it was set
Leon: Missed the spot he was supposed to hit with the hammer (laughs it off casually)
Cynthia: Hits it so hard the bell cracks (yes, breaking Peony's score)
Mustard: Casually destroys the entire machine
Volo: Cheers at the destruction
Piers: Never got a turn because Mustard broke it (he plays it off as he doesn't care but is heart broken he didn't get a go)
Gloria: Goes and buys herself and Piers ice cream because she knows he's secretly sad and wants to cheer him up

Iris: Complains for the rest of the day because she didn't get to do it
