Ok so no changes to stats or damage thresholds, just an aesthetic upgrade that can change our ancestry perk(aka our ability) and unlock new moves. Occurs automatically at Tier 3 and Tier 4. Hmm level 5 Alolan Ninetales sounds tasty.

    Got some questions though.

    1. Are we capped to 12 HP/Stamina slots? It's possible for a character to surpass this(notably Guardians via Blade domain)
    2. Are we capped to 6 Proficiency? My class can surpass this(possibly other classes as well), hence am wondering if I can?
    3. Do subclass cards stack? Namely with the Guardian, they start with +1 Damage threshold that goes to +3 at Mastery. Does it just increase by 1 or do they stack to give a +6? Relevant for @Evolve8eon as that'd make Stalwart upgrades a must grab at level 5 and 8 respectively.
    4. Does the Domain advancement in Tier 2 permit level 4 Domain cards at level 2 or 3 or are we capped to character level or lower? Answer also applies to Tier 3 and 4 respectively. Am just curious if I can grab Preservation Blast early 😁
    5. Moves unlocked via Evolution(ex: Dazzling Gleam for Alolan Ninetales), do they cost an advancement to take?

Worth a shot on 4, while 5 alters my Tier 3 plans a tad by delaying either my subclass boost or my Evasion(leaning delaying Evasion since the Subclass promotion yields it at the cost of Stress and how my Water helps me evade)

As for #1, character sheets top out at 12 slots for all classes and the rulebook stipulates it's a hard cap. Yet with respect to Guardians and Seraph, they get 7 HP at level 1, meaning by the time they hit level 5, they theoretically can have 11 HP if they took HP advancement on Tier 2 and again at Tier 3. Yet at Tier 4, they could push that to 13 but they can't because of said cap and why I asked the question.

Same deal with Stress slots because with the Warrior and especially Guardian, they can go beyond the 12 Stress limit via the Vitality card in Blade Domain(Guardians with Vengeance subclass get a bonus Stress slot too) and hence can go beyond the 12 slot limit. My question to you is whether we will adhere to that cap or will it be a soft-cap for certain classes that can go beyond it.

For #2, the cap is treated as 6 but can be flexible if a spell or class ability(which is what I'm referencing with respect to my character) can push it beyond 6. It's your call as I see it.

Finally for #3, after some searching, the answer to my question is yes. This makes Stalwart Guardian a really good subclass... @Evolve8eon great choice. Highly recommend upgrading your subclass at level 5 and 8, you won't regret it.
