You can try... My tribe is known for developing a forbidden technique that would stop you in your tracks. It's forbidden due to not just it's effect but the ethical boundaries it crosses.

For the purposes of this game, Katara doesn't know it. Just referencing an Avatar Episode in which a member of her tribe basically teaches her a forbidden technique. The reason it's forbidden is because it forces a person to do things against their will, hence the ethical boundary that makes it outlawed. In the end, just defending my affable character after all. I don't think a Scoundrel would stoop so low as to take advantage of her. Steal her necklace and that might change.
Its blood bending if you must know. Basically you bend the water in the targets blood but it can only be done under a full moon. Yet if you watch the sequel Avatar series, some have managed to master that to such a degree that they can do it whenever they want to. Being able to control another target that way would be beyond broken, despite how mentally taxing it would be.

Tis why it's in a spoiler. Read at your own risk but if you have seen Avatar, then you already know the answer. Going out of my way to try and draw more people in because why not. Unlikely to succeed but new blood is always welcome.

Figure I'd write a FAQ.
Q: What is Daggerheart?
A: An RPG alternative to D&D(Dungeon and Dragons).
Q: How does Pokemon fit into this?
A: Pokemon fits in by basically replacing the various races you can roleplay as(ex: Human, Elf, Dwarf etc.) and are replaced by Pokemon with their own inherent Abilities and attacks. You basically roleplay as a Pokemon with special perks in having unique class abilities, weapons and armor.
Q: What Pokemon can I pick?
A: Anything that isn't a Legendary, Mythical, Ultra beast or Paradox Pokemon. Wouldn't be fair to play as Zacian or some other incredibly powerful Pokemon.
Q: How do I create a character?
A: If interested, it's a reasonably simple process. The following video does an excellent job in explaining it. You don't have to create Character Sheets(Game Master will do it for you if you ask nicely and have all pertinent information all set to go) but if you want to print one out and have one, who am I to stop you.
Additional links and references for video above:
Classes Subclasses Domains Community Weapons Armor Traits Experiences
Be sure to include Class Item(each class has two choices), what your character's name and background(who and what they are coming from. Community choice should influence this) and what Potion you'll start with(Health or Stamina).
Q: When do we start and how often do we play?
A: Our game is tentatively set to start on the 20th of June but may be postponed until the 27th or even the 4th of next month. Sessions start on Saturdays at 18:00 UTC and last for about 2 hours. Sessions are planned to be bi-monthly or every two weeks so if we do start on the 20th, the next one wouldn't be until the 4th. This gives ample time for the Game Master to prepare.
Q: How do we play here on the Forum?
A: You play by showing up at the scheduled time and posting your actions and following instructions from GM(Game Master). Anything that involves rolling of dice is carried out through online resources such as Online dice rollers and reporting the result. This does rely on the honor system so try to be truthful and not rolling until you get a desired outcome. Bad outcomes happen and spice things up and remember it's a game. You win some and you lose some.
Q: How do we keep track of things?
A: GM will upload your character sheets with all your character info. Management of resources(Hope, Stress, Armor and HP slots) along with what equipment/items you have are your responsibility. Updating character sheets are typically done after characters level up so during the interlude, you'll have to make notes here in Session threads or on a piece of paper to keep track of your character's progress.
