why did red get a new look in heart gold and soul silver

why change it? I always loved the old look he had!

    I dunno, there were a few random designs that were changed just for the heck of it. Like Kris getting replaced by Lyra.

    The remakes of the first 3 gens all changed designs of every character.

    Because the events of HG&SS take place years after Reds adventure happens. You change clothes after a few years, right?
