Pokémon Forums Story: The Champion Battle: Part 1

honestly i felt the dynamicpunch usage was fine and justified in those cases.
like it only ends up being used twice, which is reasonable enough, and i would say the element of luck/accuracy wasn't really a major factor in either case compared to the interplay between the pokemon moves used in those turns.
mawile vs lucario is the very first move ordered of the match, having the first strike advantage and catching them off guard. Arlo ordering Lucario to use a move to clash with the attack instead of attempting to dodge it by the time he reacted makes it feel like the result of his decision.
and then against pyroar, mawile taking the fire fang to execute dynamicpunch at point blank range also makes sense if not a little deliberately explained by the narration. speaking of which, enemies toughing out attacks feels like a fair use of affection/power of friendship for both sides.

I haven't progressed as much as I'd like because of studying (it's probably 1/3 done). I've been using most of my breaks exclusively to relax because writing and thinking up how to write things takes an amount of effort I can't gather up before I need to study again because there's a LOT I need to study and I'm not exactly a fast person (as I think might be too easy to tell from how long this took me). My exams start and end in June, so I should make more progress then, but for now it's essentially paused for a few weeks.

Glad to see this thread is still active. UnovanZorua you'll always be able to return to the forums story after the exams as we aren't going anywhere. Don't focus on writing anything until the test taking is done. Fighting! Do your best to get good exam grades right now.
