Even though I've contacted support multiple times to inform them that I'm over 18, the text chat and voice chat are still unavailable, and my reports remain marked as resolved Even though the problem is still present.

    May I ask how you created your account?

    This is a known thing for those of us who create our accounts via the "guest account".

    If you created your account and have it linked to your Pokemon Trainer Central account or Nintendo account then, as long as you are over 18, as you stated, you should be able to access those features for in game lobbies, private messaging to those on your friend list, squad chats/messaging, and during matches.

    Remember though, that the private chats with trainers on your friends list is not available until after you have played at least two matches with them as a friend.

    If you were "chat banned", meaning the algorithm determined that something you previously chatted was not acceptable according to their vanilla standards (I've seen people get chat banned for limited times due to using Pokemon names and moves/attacks & talking about strategies, myself included), besides not being allowed to chat except with the stickers and presets, you may not be allowed to use even those in a squad lobby and voice chat may also be turned off during the "ban" time period.

    Check to see which type of account you have (in-game) and if it needs to be linked. Hopefully it's an easy fix of linking otherwise, I have no clue.

    May I also ask how long you have had this Unite profile?

    I'm logged in with my Nintendo account, and my age is already set to over 18 there. I've sent several reports to support and nothing has happened. Do you think the absence of the "-" in the support code might have caused this? For me, the existence of text-based chat and voice chat was a surprise.

    Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm,

    I'm going to chat (yes in-game, sorry) with some friends who play via switch and are 18+ and see what they think might be the issue.... I play via mobile and am linked via Pokemon Trainer Central.

    Hopefully I'll catch up with them today around daily reset times. 🤞🙂🤞

    (Sometimes we can all help each other out, othertimes there isn't much we can do... Hopefully we can all figure this out)
