Talk about the good old days

I don't know maybe the complaints were for good reason I find it hard to believe that most people complained about stuff without knowing what they are talking about.

I have never heard of that, most of the critiques was because of poor optimization leading to poor graphics. Often enough the LOD models would appear and take some time for the actual higher quality models to kick in, something I have seen well enough (first thing that pops into my head is encountering a Glaceon and in the battle intro I see this low poly Glaceon that looks like it came out of the N64 that takes a few seconds to go to the proper model). The art direction for Scarlet/Violet though I wasn't crazy about, found it just wasn't as good as the anime artstyle.

Man in Scarlet/Violet both the artstyle and graphics were bad, but then again I said that about Breath of the Wild.
