What exactly all do i do for the world tournament this year

HHello Epicthinker3 again and im wondering how exactly i will get in to the world tournament because im really excited that I have a possibility of going this year and have been wanting to go since I was 7 which was 9 years ago ive been watching every years tournament hoping one day I'll be able to go idk what to do for it other than the sign up

You have to do local tournaments and get points from it then If you have a lot of points you can get an invite to go to worlds from pokemon
