Darkrai Part 46: Darkened OvercastAs the white darkness fills up with mega energy, shards of rock begin to form around it
“Oh-no… we are to late” Zygarde says in a frightening tone
As the rock’s fully shroud it it draws in more power from the tower, what emerges is not Darkrai but a Evil Eye
"It's never too late," the female says. Both Ange and the Shadow said this, her voice a mix of a demonic echo and a normal pitch. She spreads her feathery wings of destruction and shoot off into the sky, right at the eye of chaos.
"FOOL," the Mega screams as it produces a shock wave that knocks Ange/Shadow straight out of the sky. The wave creates a dome around them, similar to the ones used for Rouge Mega Battles. However, this one is different. There are rips in the cage that reveal Hyperspace Lumios mixed with the nightmares of the citizens of the city, and its gargantuan, covering the entire city!
"What is this," Zygarde inquires, looking around with a mix of awe and horror.
"My master plan," Darkrai replies. "This is the living nightmare I will put this awful place into!"
"Not if I have anything to say about that," Ange growled, flying back into the air. She then launched a pitch black Light of Ruins at the enemy, absolutely obliterating it.
"That's right," her ally agrees. The snake fires off a Thousand Waves that combine with the girl's attack, dealing devastating damage. The moves cause a huge explosion, and Ange watches closely for the giant eye to come following out. That never happens, though. Instead, laughter comes from the cloud.
"YOU THOUGHT THAT WOULD WORK!?" the Darkrai exclaims, obviously amused. "That's pathetic!"
"I'm just getting started," the Shadow responds with a smirk. She gathers power between her wings and fires off a huge Oblivion Wing. The white nightmare doesn't seem worried and launches a Dark Pulse as a counter.
The two attacks push against each other for a second, but the Dark Pulse forces its way through the beam, heading straight for Shadow Ange. "I got you," Zygarde shouts, leaping in front of her and creating a small shield, blocking the hit.
"YOU CAN DELAY THE INEVITABLE," the Shiny Mega tells them. "I WILL WIN! AND THIS CITY WILL FALL!!!"
The opponent launches another Dark Pulse set them, this one much bigger. Zygarde and Shadow Ange both counter with a small attack, stopping the move. The girl then flies back to into the sky, subtly building energy for a big attack. She also gathers power from the area sound her, weakening the Darkrai's terrain.
Darkrai looks up at her and attempts to attack, but the snake shoots a Thousand Arrows at it, distracting the white terror. "You pest," it grumbles as it uses Shadow Ball on Zygarde repetitively. The Legendary avoids and blocks them in the beginning, but quickly loses its concentration and begins to take hit after hit.
"Time to end this," Shadow Ange shouts. Darkrai only has time to look up at her, unable to avoid the ginormous black and blue Core Enforcer. Shadow Ange is positive it's over, but after her attack settle down, Mega Darkrai is still there, now charging up its own attack.
"I'M DONE PLAYING AROUND!!!"
Ange Part 47: Ange’s True Awakening"DARK VOID," the Mega Darkrai shouts as it unleashes a wave of darkness over them. Zygarde uses its energy shield to protect itself, but Ange doesn't have one if those. The girl gets hit, falling into a slumber as she falls to the ground. The Shadow takes control of the body, but Ange's subconscious doesn't go to the dream world.
Ange can see the fight happening from an outsider's view. One that feels familiar. One that feels like home. She sees herself flying circles around Darkrai, who is above her. She sees Zygarde was down below shooting Thousand Arrows up at the nightmare. She looks over and sees the tears between Hyperspace Lumios and her world getting bigger and more chaotic. One of the rips drift to the side, giving Ange a view of the city, and this is when she realizes where she is.
I'm back in the tower, she thinks, her voice echoing all around her. That's right, someone replies. The voice is hers, but slightly lighter. It sounds peaceful and soothing, kind of like an angel.Who are you,Ange demands.Well, I'm you,the other answers. The you that was left behind when you left the tower. I go by Rouge, since Rouge Megas are what I create. Why do you exist,Ange asks, much less hostile now.I left this place completely. Not exactly,Rouge tells her.You see, the part of you that you consider you is just the main core of your soul. This core managed to escape. It needed a body, so it grew one. I am also part of your soul, but I'm the one that was too weak to escape the tower. We used to be one but split in two because I was too weak to leave after Zygarde used Nihil Light, There's also a third one. The Shadow. She's the one that couldn't let go of the need for revenge and violence. She used to be part of you, but when your rage hit an apex, it caused a split. She just can't escape your body.Ange stands there silently as she processes this information.
Is there any more of us,she inquires. Not yet,the tower her answers. But when a part of us disagrees or needs to separate another can be made.Interesting…the heterochrome mutters. So, you could leave the tower of you wanted to, creating a new body, and a soul would be left here that's different than you because one must be left behind? That is correct,Rouge confirms. Then let's do it,Ange states.I'm not too sure about that,Rouge replies.I like this form. I don't want to leave here. But I could really use the help,Ange tells her.I'm sorry but my answer is no,Rouge states with finality. Ange goes to argue, but suddenly she is yanked back into consciousness, slamming back into her usual body. She looks around and sees herself on the ground as Darkrai charges up power again above her."Where have you been," the Shadow growls at her, forcing them up.
"Talking to myself," Ange replies. "Not much differently than how I am now."
"Well you need to get back to fighting," the Shadow demands. Ange nods and takes off into the sky. She flies right up into the white terror's face and blasts a black and blue Oblivion Wing in its face. Darkrai howls in agony but doesn't break its stance.
"YOU HAVE BEEN A PAIN IN MY SIDE FOR FAR TOO LONG," it yells as it unleashes another Dark Void. "I'M TIRED OF IT!!!"
Shadow Ange covers herself with her wings, blocking the sleep effect of the hit but still taking damage. The snake creates another shield, but this one is smaller and weaker. The Legendary is getting tired.
"We need to end this soon," Zygarde tells the girl as she takes a quick landing, absorbing some of Darkrai's power.
"Yeah, well, that's kind of hard when it's just the two of us," Ange replies. "Three of us," the Shadow corrects.
"Four," a voice booms from somewhere but nowhere at once.
"What was that," Zygarde questions, on edge.
Suddenly, Ange’s ruin’s spring back to life, Black Vines and Red/Blue Flowers take over the tower as it mutates back into Hyperrouge Ange Floette!
"That was me," Ange answers happily as a giant Light of Ruins comes shooting out of the tower, obliterating Darkrai. "Or should I say, Rouge."
“WHAT THE SKRUD WAS THAT!”
The beam of pink comes crashing back down to the ground, and where it hits stands a pink version of Ange. "Hi-ya," the newcomer exclaims with a bright smile and friendly wave.

Hyperrouge Part 48: Darkness RisingPart1"Oh great, there's three of you," Zygarde mumbles, looking at her and Rouge. Despite these words, however, Ange can feel a sense of relief coming from the Legendary.
"How'd you get out," he girl asks her pink self. "I thought you couldn't leave the tower."
"Well, I'm not really out of it," Rouge answers. "Think of me as a hologram, just solid. I'm tied to the tower and only light, but I can interact with the world around me."
"Enough yapping, more fighting," the Shadow demands, forcing Ange to fly back into the sky. Ange sighs and goes along, charging up another attack.
"IT DOESN'T MATTER HOW MANY PEOPLE AND POKEMON YOU HAVE," the Shiny Mega declares. "I WILL WIN AND YOU CAN'T STOP ME!"
The giant eye of terror blasts a Dark Pulse at Shadow Ange, but the attack gets blocked by giant purple vines. The girl looks down to see it was the doing of Rouge. "I still got that old tower power," the tower shouts to her.
"That's a good move," Zygarde praises. It then leaps up into the air and unleashes a Rock Slide on the opponent. Darkrai briefly turns away from Shadow Ange to counter the attack, allowing the girl to get right up against it.
"See ya," the Shadow yells as she unleashes a black and blue Light of Ruins. The Mega howls with a mix of pain and anger and Ange keeps the attacks coming by using a black and pink Oblivion Wing.
"Keep that going," Rouge yells, blasting a Light of Ruins of her own at the enemy. Zygarde joins the attacks with a Dragon Pulse.
"That should do it," the snake exclaims, breathless and worn out.
"Funny that you think that," Darkrai's voice says from the smoke of the attacks. Suddenly, Dark Pulses come soaring from the smoke, causing chaos for all around it. Shadow Ange has to make a hard twist and fast decent to the ground to avoid damage and Rouge and Zygarde create some barriers to guard themselves from the attack.
Shadow Ange lands beside Zygarde and looks up to see that the Mega used the chaos to charge up its power, and it just hit its climax. "IN COMING!!!" Ange screams, but she doesn't have time to do anything as the Dark Void comes rushing to her. Zygarde moves fast, though, jumping in front of her and creating a shield. The shield shatters, however, and the snake is sent flying.
"MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA," Darkrai cackles from atop the tower. "Looks like that Legendary is down. IT'S OVER!!!""Not quite," Zygarde states. All heads turn to it and see that the Legendary is glowing and growing. "In fact, it's just getting started!" The light disburses, revealing Zygarde at 100%.
Part2All of them look at Zygarde with awe, Dakrai's mixed with anger. "It's majestic when not being used against you," Rouge mutters.
"So true," Ange agrees. Zygarde chuckles and shakes its head.
"IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT FORM YOU TAKE," the opposing Mega shouts. "YOUR LOSS IS INEVITABLE!!!"
"Please stop saying inevitable," the Shadow grumbles. "You're over using it…"
"INEVITABLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLE," Darkrai screams as it starts firing off Dark Pulses in all directions. Shadow Ange flies into the sky and pulls some fancy maneuvers to avoid the attacks. Rouge simply puts up a pink shield of light, waiting out the storm. Zygarde, though, rams through all incoming attacks, soaring straight at Darkrai without a care of what's happening to it.
"Eat beam," the Legendary exclaims, launching a Core Enforcer at the enemy as it continues to get closer.
"Actually eat two," Ange follows up with, using her black and blue Light of Ruins.
"You seem hungry so I'll make it three," Rouge says, using her own Light of Ruins.
Darkrai can't move as it is held in place by the three attacks. It growls at the as it tries to escape, but can't and instead takes more damage. Zygarde finally closes the distance and punches the monstrosity in the center of the eye dead in the face. The Legendary didn't even use an attack! No. Just flat out punched it.
"Hit it hard," the Shadow cheers, excited for the action. So excited, in fact, that she decides to go in and deal her own punch. Temporarily taking complete control over the body, the Shadow soars forward and does a flip, kicking the beast in the same spot as Zygarde struck. Shadow cackles maniacally as Darkrai howls with pain.
"What are you doing," Ange exclaims, forcing them to fly away. "That was risky!"
"But totally worth it," the Shadow responds, caring none about Ange's anger.
"THIS IS NOW JUST ANNOYING," the white nightmare yells at them. "JUST ACCEPT THE INEVITABLE!"
"AT THIS POINT YOU'RE SAYING IT ON PURPOSE," the Shadow screams back. Darkrai just ignores her and begins charging energy for its next big attack.
"Now's our chance," Zygarde states. "Let's go all out!"
Part3Zygarde roars with power as it unleashes many blades of green energy. "THOUSAND ARROWS," it shouts. The Shiny Mega Darkrai groans as it takes the hit, unable to dodge due to charging up its next giant attack.
"Apex Enforcer," the Shadow adds, firing off a mix of black and blue Core Enforcer and Light of Ruins, creating one large beam of devastating power.
"THAT'S NOT EVEN AN ATTACK," the enemy screams as it gets hit.
"It's the ultimate attack," the Shadow replies, firing another.
"Don't use that too much," Rouge tells her. "That takes a lot of energy out of a mortal body, and we can't have you getting exhausted."
"Trust me, it's fine," the Shadow says with a smirk as she comes down to land. As her feet hit the ground, though, she gets extremely light headed, nearly collapsing. "Let's wait before pulling another stunt like that again," Ange mutters, holding her head.
"HAHAHAHAHAHAHA," Darkrai cackles from above them. "MY POWER IS MAX! Now, FACE YOUR INEVITABLE DOOM!!!"
"SHUT UP WITH THE INEVITABLES," the Shadow screams. "It's on my last nerve!" She goes to fly back at the white nightmare, but Ange takes control of the body again, forcing her to stop. "Don't," Ange hollers, backing away from the opponent as it uses Dark Void.
"Yes, don't go into that," Rouge agrees, pulling the girl back more with Vine Whip and protecting them with a pink shield.
"Where's the fun of fighting if you refuse to be risky," the Shadow grumbles. She doesn't make any moves, though, staying behind the barrier.
"Which would you prefer," Zygarde asks from behind its own shield nearby. "To be reckless and have a little fun with a loss at the end or make tactical fall backs to win in the end?"
"Consider that," Ange tells her as she takes control of the body again, flying up to Darkrai. "Whatever," the Shadow growls. "I just want to start swinging again!"
"WHY WON'T YOU JUST GO AWAY," the enemy screams, shooting multiple Dark Pulses at Shadow Ange. The attacks never get close, though, because a giant pink Light of Ruins blasts them away.
"Go hit that demon," Rouge cheers from the ground. Ange nods as she pulls her fist back, it covered in black energy as she prepares to deal a powerful blow. She gets close to Darkrai, poised to strike. She swings her arm and-
"OMEGA SWING," Darkrai shouts as it spins in a fast circle, dealing massive damage to Ange. The girl is sent crashing back to the ground, getting smashed into the earth. "You're not the only one that can rebrand moves."
Ange tries to push herself to her feet, but fails and collapses back to the ground. "I-I can't go on," she mutters weakly. Rouge rushes to her side.
"You could, but you need some time," the pink one informs her.
"I’m afraid Time is not something we have," Zygarde cuts in as it narrowly avoids a Dark Pulse.
"I can get the time," the Shadow states. "No you can't," Ange counters. "We share a body. Since I'm weak, you're weak. You can't do anything about that." The Shadow scoffs and rolls her eyes. "Watch me," is all the aggressive one says. Before Ange can reply, she yelps with surprise as something suddenly forces its way out of her. The Blue eye fire escapes Ange and it pulls in shadows, embracing black and blue blames, the shadow stood alone…
"Finally," the figure says, who Ange has now realized is the Shadow. "A body of my own!"
Part4"Sh-Shadow," Ange mutters with question as the dark figure pulls her to her feet.
"In the flesh," the other responds. "Well, maybe not flesh. More of shadowy energy form but you get what I'm saying."
"How," the girls ask, unable to fully understand.
"I did what Rouge did," the Shadow answers as the pink one comes over to take Ange. "I made a temporary body that I can fight with. This will give you time to rest and allow me to go all out!"
Ange has so many more questions. Ones that she's about to ask, but Zygarde cuts in. "That's all nice and good, but I want to hear more later," it shouts as it zooms by, narrowly avoiding a shower of Dark Pulses. "I need you to get into the fight!"
"Ain't gotta tell me twice," the Shadow exclaims with a cackle, flying into the sky.
"I'll protect you," Rouge tells the human girl, creating a shield around them. Now guarded and able to recover, Ange absorbs the Mega Energy around them while she watches the battle. The Shiny Mega Darkrai is struggling to keep up with the Legendary entity of balance and her personification of chaos. Zygarde stays at a distance, constantly firing Thousand Waves and Thousand Arrows while the Shadow zips around at close range, dealing random strikes when Darkrai least expects it. Things are looking really good for them! Until…
"CHAOS SPIN," the shiny yells as it combines a Brutal Swing and Dark Pulse. Brutal Swing smacks the Shadow back and the Dark Pulses get sent flying in all directions, hitting both of Darkrai's attackers. Neither Zygarde or the Shadow were prepared for this, so they didn't block and get injured badly and knocked out the air.
"I've got them," Rouge tells Ange as she uses Power Whip to catch the two and gently lay them on the ground.
I can't just lie hear and do nothing,Ange thinks as she watches Zygarde and the Shadow get back up. Slowly, she forces herself to her feet."You need to rest," the pink one states, trying to force the girl back down.
"I'm fine," Ange growls, spreading her wings to push off into the air. Right as she's about to take off, she sees something. Out of the corner of her eye, she sees Team MZ, Lebanne, and L rushing to the battle barrier. Taunie is trying desperately to get in, but of course to no prevail.
"Ange," the hotel employee shouts through the invisible wall. "Let us in!"
"No," Ange hollers back. "It's too risky!"
"We want to help," Paxton tells her. The heterochrome shakes her head.
"We've got this," Ange reassures them. Taunie begins to attempt to enter again, but the once-tower girl doesn't want any chance of a break through. Ange spreads her wings and shoots feathers at the group. The sharp projectiles make it through the barrier that literally opened for them (it must have sensed the tower power from Ange) and pick up each individual by their clothes, swooping them off their feet and carrying them away to somewhere safe.
"ANGE," Taunie screams as she tries to resist. The girl just gives the pink haired one a soft smile and wave as she's taken away.
"Alright, let's end this," Ange mutters as she turns her attention back to the enemy, which is currently building power.
Mega FinaleAnge glares up at the Shiny Mega Darkrai. After seeing Taunie and the others she feels new determination to win. She must protect them at all costs, no matter what it takes. She spreads her feathery wings that were once surprisingly soft but now sharp and deadly and takes off into the sky, charging right at her enemy.
"Hit that thing hard," the Shadow cheers from the ground, still recovering from her hit. Ange barely hears her, more focused on her target She pulls her fist back, which is covered in dark energy.
"No! Don't do it," Rouge shouts. "You're in too weak of a state!" Ange ignores her, though, determined to strike.
"Being reckless now, are we," Darkrai chuckles, launching a Dark Pulse that Ange easily avoids. "You're dumb decisions will only make my inevitable win easier!"
"STOP SAYING INEVITABLE," Ange screams, just as annoyed with it as the Shadow is. She picks up the pace, flying three times as fast and dealing her powerful blow before Darkrai can even register what's happening. As she strikes, the shadowy power on her fist bursts into a giant black beam that causes the Shiny Mega to scream in agony.
"THAT'S IT," the villain exclaims. "PLAY TIME IS OVER! THIS ALL ENDS HERE!!!"
Darkrai begins using another Chaos Spin, but as it does it charges up energy. Ange swerves and rolls through the air, narrowly avoiding incoming Dark Pulses. She can't get closer to stop the charge due to Brutal Swing, though. So what she does is, while continuing to dodge, she flies higher into the sky.
"Why are you running," Darkrai taunts. "Feeling scared?" Ange doesn't even acknowledge it, only further angering the bringer of nightmares. "DON'T YOU DARE IGNORE ME!!! TAKE THIS!!!" Darkrai hits the fastest it can go, unleashing waves of Dark Voids, stopping the Dark Pulses as it does.
All according to plan,Ange thinks with a smirk. She flew this high because it's out of Dark Void range, so she's now able to attack it without worry. She does a quick charge of energy before blast a black and blue Core Enforcer at the Shiny Mega Darkrai, creating an A that goes boom after less than a second. Darkrai, who was not expecting this, screams with pain. The heterochrome laughs proudly as she dives back down, slicing the enemy with her wing as she passes it to regroup with the others."Never knew you were cool like that," the Shadow exclaims as Ange lands. The heterochrome chuckles and shakes her head.
"Why do you think you're so cool," the human asks. "You're literally me!"
The Shadow obviously has something to say about that, but a sudden Dark Pulse that barely misses her cuts her off. "YOU FOOLS," the Mega Shiny Darkrai shouts from the top of the tower. "DID YOU REALLY THINK THAT WOULD DO SOMETHING? HAHAHA! THAT'S PATHETIC!"
"This guy is on my last nerve," the dark one growls, glaring up at the monstrosity.
"This will all be over soon," Rouge tells everyone with a smile. "We can do it!"
"Ugh. I hate peppy people like you…" the Shadow grumbles.
"Y'all are the same person," Ange reminds her.
"Well, actually-" the pink one starts.
"CAN Y'ALL DISCUSS THIS LATER," Zygarde cuts in as it leaps in front of them with a green shield, protecting the three from multiple Dark Pulses. "We're kind of in a battle right now!"
"Oh, right," Ange agrees, flying back into the sky, the Shadow following close behind her.
"Finally coming back to allow me to finish this," Darkrai questions with amusement, firing off more Dark Pulses.
"If that means you're ready to give up then yes," the dark side replies as she avoids the projectile and closes the distance with a punch. Ange quickly follows up with a flurry of razor sharp feathers. The two attacks cause Darkrai to cry out and it's on the verge of falling off the tower. The white terror is about to regain its balance, but suddenly the tower moves, glowing with pink energy as it smacks Darkrai to the ground.
"How," Ange wonders. She looks down at the ground and sees Rouge is glitching, seeming to only be partially here.
"She went back into the tower temporarily to control it," Zygarde explains as they land on the ground.
"That's right," Rouge confirms, her voice a bit shaky from being in-between. "Figured the tower power could be useful! Seems like I was right."
"You… INSIGNIFACANT, HUMAN SYPITHIZING, ABSOLUTE, UTTER PEST," the enemy screams as it gets up, glaring at them with pure rage. "I CAN'T WAIT TO DESTROY YOU AND THIS BLASTED CITY!!!"
"That's not happening," Ange tells it, spreading her wings with a power pose before shooting at the white nightmare.
"Oh, it is," Darkrai growls as purple and black energy swirls around it. "Because my victory… IS INEVITABLE!!!"
(Quick thing from Hades; That's the last time Darkrai will say "inevitable" in the fight to avoid overdoing the joke. It will be made in the future but much less frequently.)
Ange gasps as the opponent unleashes all of the dark mist swirling around it in a giant wave of Mega Power. It's not even a Pokémon move! Just pure, dangerous energy. The heterochrome doesn't have time to stop, going to fast to just halt. She would have crashed into the attack if it weren't for one thing… Zygarde.
"I got you," the Legendary shouts as it jumps in front of her, catching Ange and taking the full force of the energy. The entity of balance groans in pain as it crashes into the ground, still cradling the girls in its arms protectively.
"Thanks," Ange says with a sigh as she staggers to her feet. When the Legendary doesn't reply, she looks down and is pained by the sight. Zygarde is on the verge of being knocked out, its form glitching as it struggles to hold itself together. "Oh no! A-Are you alright?"
"HAHAHAHAHAHAAA!!! Looks like your MVP is down," Darkrai cackles, already celebrating. "Your loss will be so much quicker now!"
Ange ignores the bringer of nightmares, still looking down at Zygarde with shock. How could this be? The being that was strong enough to defeat her has been taken down. Is this the end? There's no way they can handle this without it.
"Ange, look," Rouge states, pointing at Zygarde's hand. Ange follows the direction and sees a Mega Stone. With newfound hope, she springs to her feet, quickly absorbing as much Mega Energy as she can. Then, she points her Flower Hand at the Mega Stone, unleashing a large beam of Mega Evolution Energy at it. “MEGA EVLOVE!!!” Ange yells in hope. The gem sparkles with power, encasing Zygarde in the energy, as the cells reconfigure and the Rouge Mega Energy gets absorbed, Mega Zygarde Is revealed in its wake
"WHAT HAVE YOU DONE!?" Darkrai exclaims, its smug expression now one of pure fear.
"Leveled out the playing field," The now Mega Zygarde responds. "It's now Rouge versus Rouge."

Ange looks over at the glorious Mega Evolution that she has created. "Bet you never expected the monster you were trying to stop be the reason you were able to save the world, did you," she asks with a smirk. Zygarde chuckles and shakes its head.
"No, I didn't. But let's talk about that later and focus on actually saving the world," the Legendary responds. Ange nods and turns her attention back to Darkrai, which is fuming with rage.
"I didn't account for this possibility," it mutters, still in shock as it calculates the new variable. "This wasn't supposed to happen. My win! I-It was…"
"Never gonna happen," the Shadow ends for it. The white nightmare shakes its head and looks at her. Suddenly, the shock in its eyes are replaced with rage and determination.
"No… My victory is coming," it states as it begins to rise above the ground. "You cannot stop me. I will succeed. And with my win will be YOUR AND THIS CITY'S DESTRUCTION!!!"
Darkrai cries out as it sends out an army of Dark Pulses. The squad dodges them, Zygarde taking a few hits but not that many. "Shadow! You go left. Zygarde, you take the right. Rouge can handle the center and I'll fly above. We'll attack from all directions," Ange commands. The other three nod, immediately taking their positions.
"COME AT ME HOWEVER YOU WANT! I DON'T CARE," the opposing shiny screams as it gathers energy. "I WILL COME OUT ON TOP!"
"WE WON'T LET YOU," Zygarde shouts back, firing off Thousand Arrows as it continues to get closer. The Shadow grunts in agreement as she fires off a pitch black Light of Ruins.
"Statistically speaking there is no real chance for you to win," Rouge inputs as she uses Power Whip on the monstrosity. All these attacks hit the enemy simultaneously, and Ange is about to add another but the Rouge Mega Mythical roars with power and creates a wave of energy that pushes them all back.
"STATISTICALLY SPEAKING!? STATS DON'T MATTER IN THE REAL WORLD," Darkrai yells in response. "In the real world, it's only about who works hardest and those who try hard but never make it. AND THEN YOU HAVE HUMANS WHO DO NOTHING BUT ABUSE POKEMON WHILE THEY LAZE AROUND AND ACT LIKE NOTHING IS WRONG!!!"
Hearing that makes Ange freeze. She remembers feeling the same way as she watched the city around her. They keep the Pokémon in Wild Zones and PokeBalls. They force Pokémon to battle and work when it should be them. It's wrong and cruel. But recently, she came to realize that, while yes there are bad people, not all of them are like that. Most see this as working towards a perfect peaceful world. And maybe with some proper guidance, this idea can work.
"I understand what you're saying," the girls states. Everybody turns to look at her with shock. It's like they forgot who she used to be, which is weird since they talk about it all the time (like, literally only fifteen minutes ago when Darkrai tried to recruit her). "But we are wrong. There are abusers, but most don't mean it that way."
"You've been corrupted by the humans," Darkrai growls back. It then launches a giant Dark Pulse at her, which Ange easily avoids.
"No, that's not it," the heterochrome replies as she takes a step forward. "I have talked to many Pokémon as well who have influenced my thoughts on the situation."
The girl continues her advance, now about ten feet from the white terror. "Even the Pokémon have been brain washed to believe this is okay," Darkrai tells her, shooting more Dark Pulses. Ange punches through them, continuing to get closer.
"That may be true," Ange admits, now only an arm's reach away from Darkrai, "but some of them needed a human to find them. Their life improved because of their trainer."
"Preposterous," the shiny replies, this time with no attack. The two are now mere inches from each other.
"No, it's true," Ange tells it softly. "Sometimes we need a person in our life. I know I did. Taunie really helped me with things I didn't know I needed help with. So did the other members of Team MZ.
Darkrai seems to be struggling with the concept that its thought process was wrong. "No…" it mumbles to itself as it shakes its head. "No, no, no, no, no, no, NO!!!"
In a moment of panic from realizing it dropped its guard, Darkrai attempts and Apex Swing, but Ange moves fast. She pulls her fist back and uppercuts the Mythical, dealing last strike needed to knock it out. Mega Energy bursts off the shiny and the Hyperspace Dome melts away, revealing the world around them again. They won, but Ange wasn't done with Darkrai yet.
Part 49: Oración…
"WE DID IT," the Shadow exclaims as she jumps up and down with joy. "Take that, ya worthless eyeball!"
"Don't be rude," Rouge states harshly, smacking the Shadow in the back of her head.
"Ange, are you gonna come or just stand there," Zygarde asks, watching the girl with concern as she gazes at the fallen Darkrai.
"Um… I'll catch up," Ange replies, her eyes never leaving the Dark type. "I have something I want to do first."
Zygarde looks at her for a bit, considering if it should leave or not. After a bit it sighs and walks away with the other two parts of the heterochrome's soul. After they're all gone, Ange approaches the Shiny Darkrai. The Pokémon doesn't react to her, just continuing to stare up at the sky.
"Well, what are you waiting for," it questions after some time in silence has passed. "Aren't you going to gloat?"
"That's not what I'm here to do," the girl responds as she takes a seat on the ground next to the Mythical. "I just want to talk."
Darkrai studies her for a bit before sitting up with a sigh. "I've got nothing better to do," it grumbles, looking over at her once seated properly. "So about what?"
"Why do you hate humans," Ange asks, wasting no time with easing into the conversation. "I mean, I get hating them. Really, I do. But what made you hate them?"
The shiny stares at the girl for a bit, considering what to respond with. "Well," it says after a bit, "I have personal problems with them."
"Would you mind elaborating on that," the heterochrome inquires softly. Darkrai looks away, remaining dead silent for a while. Ange doesn't leave, though, giving it time to get comfortable with the topic.
"You really want to know," Darkrai asks quitely. Ange nods in response and the white terror sighs. "A couple years back I had been hunted by humans. They tracked me across the globe, eventually getting their hands on me. I fought hard and after a couple months broke free of their cages. Even though I escaped, life wasn't easy. I was starved and dehydrated and all of my fellow Pokémon were afraid of me, not because of me being the bringer of nightmares but because I was associated with humans. Honestly, I should have died out there."
"Why didn't you," the girls questions gently, not wanting to push but curious to hear more.
"A kind Trevenant took me in, looking past the fact I was with humans to see that I was in need of help," the Mythical answers, its eyes a bit teary now. "After recovering I thanked my care taker and set off, away from the unwelcoming forest. Being alone for so long after that gave me time to think. I observed the world around me from the shadows, especially the humans. Over time I began to notice a pattern with them. They all laugh and smile and act all nice even though they are enslaving and forcing Pokémon to do their bidding. It was horrendous! And to make matters worse, most of the Trainer's Pokémon were cool with it! I realized that society has been corrupted and balance was ruined by humans and took it upon myself to fix it. I didn't know how I would, though. That is, until I heard of a Darkrai that used Hyperrouge Ange Floette’s Power to cause chaos."
"You knew that power would be able to achieve your goals, so you took it, slowly and subtly growing powerful up until now, when I stopped you," Ange finishes, knowing the rest. Darkrai just nods, still avoiding eye contact. The girl just sits there beside it quietly, processing the information. "You know," she finally says after a few minutes, "I truly do understand where you're coming from. I thought the treatment of Pokémon was awful and humans were evil and cruel. That's the whole reason I did what I did. And that idea isn't wrong, but it's not entirely right. You see, all humans are different. Most of them actually care about Pokémon and aren't being bad when they do the things they do, actually looking for peace. But there are still bad ones out there, that want to hurt and control Pokémon. Unfortunately for you that's the kind of people you got stuck with."
"How did you learn the difference between the human motives and become so wise about who they are and lose your anger," Darkrai questions, finally looking at her with wet eyes.
"Well, I haven't yet," Ange answers. "I'm still learning, and sometimes, when I get irritated, it gets hard not to wipe out the human race. But lucky for me I have a group of friends that help me find the positives in the world."
"I wish I had friends like that," the shiny mutters with a sigh. Ange thinks for a moment and comes up with a brilliant idea.
"You can," she tells it, receiving a very confused expression from the Dark type. "Come to Hotel Z with me and learn about accepting humans."
"I don't think they'll want me there," Darkrai replies sadly.
"Oh they won't," Ange tells it with a laugh. "But they'll come to accept you. They are firm believers in second chances. Taunie is, anyways."
Ange stands up and brushes herself off. Then, she looks down at the Shiny Darkrai and offers her hand to it with a smile. The white nightmare just stares at her for a second before nodding, taking the outreached hand and getting up. "Alright," it says. "Let's go to become a better being in this world."
