MEW ex and MEGA Eelektross ex
According to Q&A in Japanese official website, when you use Mew's Genome Hacking to copy MEGA Eelektross ex's Disaster Shock with 3 psychic energy, you can paralyze your opponent's active pokemon without discarding 2 lightning energy. But in PTCGLive, as I tested, it can't without discard 2 lightning from Mew ex. Is this bug in Live?
Similarly, I tried Slowking using Camerupt's Cinder Cannon (120+discard a fighting energy from this pokemon for 120 more damage) with 2 psychic energy on Slowking, I can't make 240 damage. There is no Q&A for this case. Could I actually trigger the additional 120 damage?
Origin of this question: There is a new Metagross in Japanese M4 pack, which make additional 150 damage if you discard 3 metal energy from that pokemon making it 300 damage in total. And it make difference for my Slowking deck if I can use it to make 300 damage.

Both of the attacks (Disaster Shock and Cinder Cannon) specify which type of energy and how much energy is required to trigger the additional effect of the attack.
When you copy those attacks, if you are able to discard the required energy (because it is attached to that Pokemon), then you can trigger the additional effects of those attacks.
If you are not able to discard the required energy, then you are not able to trigger the additional effects of those attacks, even if they are copied.

After referencing additional rules and comments, I made a mistake initially.
Disaster Shock: You may discard 2 Lightning Energy from this Pokemon and make your opponent's Active Pokemon Paralyzed.
Cinder Cannon: You may discard a Fighting Energy from this Pokemon. If you do, this attack does 120 more damage.
So the difference is in the bolded wording. Mew ex can copy Disaster Shock and choose the "may" effect, doing as much as possible (in the usual case discarding 0 Lightning Energy because none are attached) and still make the opponent's Active Pokemon Paralyzed.
But if Mew ex copies Camerupt's attack and is unable to discard a Fighting Energy, then the additional 120 damage does not happen because it is dependent on discarding the Fighting Energy.
