    Solid progress. Just a word of caution with regards to Misty. You may have a Grass starter but her Pokémon can still hurt you quite a bit and she has that early game reputation since she has the Staryu line that is fast and hits hard on the Special front. Should this game ever be added to Nintendo Online, I may give it a go with the following team: Blastoise + Raichu + Ninetales + Sandslash + Parasect(even if it doesn’t have Dry Skin) + Jynx(in game trade that requires a Poliwhirl). Jynx alone could probably sweep Bruno, Agatha and Lance herself(that’s how good she is).

    You do the optional rival fight by chance? Since you have a Map, Route 22. It’s only possible if you haven’t fought Brock yet. If you have, then it’s no longer possible. It’s not consequential but it’s another opportunity to defeat him and gain valuable early game XP. The only instance where this fight has any meaning is in Yellow version where it dictates what he evolves Eevee into. It also can yield free Poké Balls from Oak if you hadn’t caught anything. Forget if you also have to not buy Poké Balls or not but it’s a Gen 1 thing since Oak gives you Poké Balls once you get the Dex.
