Ange walks down the empty street alone in total darkness. She hugs her arms around herself tightly as she shivers. It's extremely cold despite being mid-summer! She's not actually that focused on the weather, though. Her thoughts are taking up too much of her attention.

This is your time, her dark side tells her. They trust you completely! The whole team does! They won't be watching your every move. Take the keys, parasite them, and enjoy your victory.

But I don't want this anymore, Ange replies. Revenge doesn't feel right. They are my friends! Especially Taunie!

Don't fall for them claiming to be your friends, her evil desires hiss back. They heartlessly destroyed you. They trap Pokémon in PokeBalls. They wear your petal as a trophy of your downfall. They are villains and deserve punishment!

You're not wrong, she thinks honestly. But what if I wasn't the hero?

Well, taking lives isn't okay, Ange explains. Yeah, my goals were good, but I was hurting many innocents in the process.

But humans are cruel creatures that look down on others, her bad thoughts shout.

Just because one apple in a harvest is bad doesn't mean they all are, she paraphrases, remembering her talk with Lida. Plus, they are good people and care deeply about Pokémon and others. They only defeated me to save the world, which I don't think is as evil as I used to.

Her dark side starts to respond, but a voice cuts it off. "Ange," Zygarde calls. "Come here, please."

Ange looks over and manages to make out the dog underneath her tower. If it weren't for the glowing parts of Zygarde, she doubts she would have been able to see it at all. "What's up," she asks as she approaches.

"Just wanted to see how you were doing," the Legendary tells her. "Have you found any good junk lately?"

"Unfortunately no," Ange replies with a sigh. "I haven't had much time."

"I get that," Zygarde says softly. The two stand in silence for a bit. "It's funny," the dog states suddenly. "You used to feel nothing but anger in my presence, and now me and you are having a chill conversation."

Ange chuckles softly, nodding. "Yeah," she agrees. "I never would have seen that coming."

"It's so good to see you like this," Zygarde says with a tone of gentle happiness. "I don't know what changed you, but it's a really good change."

"Yeah, well, the old me isn't completely dead," the heterochrome responds, looking up at her tower. She's about to focus back on the dog, but she notices something up above the structure. It is bright white, surrounded in black and purple mist. "What is that?"

Zygarde looks up too and immediately gets ready for a fight. "A Shiny Mega Darkrai," it answers.

Ange thinks back to the radio and gasps. "That's the same as that station," she states. The Legendary nods in agreement.

"YOU FOOLS," the white nightmare shouts. "IT TOOK YOU TOO LONG. YOUR TIME IS ABOUT TO COME!"

"We must stop it," Zygarde tells Ange. The heterochrome nods. "We'll fight together. Like trainer and partner."

"Don't phrase it like that," Ange states, still not liking the idea of a trainer. "But yes, I'll temporarily command you."

"YOU CANNOT STOP ME," Darkrai exclaims, a battlefield forming around them.
