At some point in time would someone want to dm a Pokemon dnd one off
sometimes I don’t have the time (or willpower) to plan the adventure during the week creating some sort of slog like last session I still plan to do the session this week but in the future if anyone wants to dm a one off just let me know also since I plan to every other week I most likely won’t be able to run a session on the 28th if we want to move it to the week before or after let me know

I've said it before, but I think D&D is a poor fit for Pokémon.
I think you would be better served replicating the video game's existing systems for Pokémon and battles, perhaps simplified for tabletop and using percentile dice for randomness, and then using a different system for the human trainers. Perhaps one more grounded in a more mundane, contemporary setting with human characters. I think I have suggested Call of Cthulhu before. Perhaps Delta Green as a more modern variant, as CoC takes place in the 1920s.
But, you do you. If D&D works for you, have at it, I suppose.

There aren't Trainers. Its D&D but with Pokémon replacing the Human, Elf, Orc race part for species. Typically a race would give your character an ability modifier bonus(ex: +1 Strength) but in our case, we get Abilities based on what species we picked. These abilities grant us certain "perks". Additionally, we have Pokémon Moves we can utilize in addition to the D&D weapons, spells and cantrips at our disposal.
TLDR: It's D&D but with a Pokémon twist. It's not Pokémon 5e where a player creates a Trainer character with a "starter", battles wild Pokémon and/or Trainers, etc. We only just started and its a learning process for everyone pretty much.

Writing, much less creative writing, was never a strong trait of mine. Storytelling falls into that category. Furthermore, I think the bulk of the crew is completely new to the game so them actually being Dungeon Master would kind of be a massive stretch given we don't have a solid understanding of what to do. My way of thinking is that we simply do sessions when you can do them. If you need to take a week off for school or w/e, that's perfectly fine. An age old proverb from my gaming clan days: Real Life > Gaming. Same deal applies here and honestly, it would be a bit… how can we put it, conflict of interest if someone was to DM while one of their characters was in play.
Next session is the 14th and if you can't make it on the 21st, 28th or w/e its no big deal to me. Just appreciate advance notice. 😊
