Why does it take 5 hours for my posts and comments to get approved

It's funny though because a comment I left that just said bidoof took 2 hours to get approved. What's wrong with bidoof!?

Sometimes posts can get held for over 24 hours.

I don't know what the parameters are for when posts get held up for approval. Could be a word, phrase or simply the length of the post and the formatting involved. Who knows but I've had to deal with it since I joined and it makes D&D sessions… "eventful"… given the hoops I have to jump through to get my actions to the DM in a timely manner XD.
