Gen 10

Alright!

We're so close!

So I will be using leaks for this, but mine will be out of date

One that is up to date is the fact that it is believed the next game will be titled "Winds and Waves"

In the past, I've heard it was supposed to be based on Greece, however, I've recently found out that changed

This post, though, is about Greece

I like the idea better

I know a lot of Greek lore

And I think it works a lot better, too

First of all, Winds and Waves matches Greece, which has many beaches

Greece also has a whole lot of gods, which can inspire Legendary and Mythical Pokémon

They also have tales of heroes, which can be used for Pokémon

The two main Legendaries could be based off of Zeus (Wind) and Posiedon (Waves)

Zeus is the god of Lightning. However, he holds much power over wind as well. It could be Electric/Flying

Posiedon is the god of the sea, so obviously he would go great for Waves. I don't know if he would be pure Water or Water/Fighting. The reason he matches the second one is he its often seen as powerful and aggressive, like the sea.

However, this isn't a good match up for the Legendaries type wise. Zeus is obviously superior, especially if Posiedon is my dual type. And I hate Zeus, so I really don't want his Legendary to be better.

Anyways, next thing. Posiedon created horses. In his fight with Athena for the Athens (as the name suggests Athena won) he made horses to appeal to the people there. Athena made olives (which means the Smoliv line can be used). They can make a new horse Pokémon that's a Water type to link to this story.

What about a Rock type snake Pokémon? If you can't tell, this would be a reference to Medusa, which is a woman cursed with snakes for hair. When you look her in the eyes you get turned to stone. Easy to see how the Rock type snake could tie to Greek lore. I think it should be Rock/Poison. Funny thing is, Medusa used to be the most beautiful woman ever. Her and Posiedon were dating, and to make a jab at Athena for winning the Athens, Posiedon took Medusa to one of Athena's sacred places for a date. To get back at Posiedon, Athena is the one that cursed Medusa.

There are so many other things they can use, too.

Centaurs, half human half horse. Could be Normal/Fighting.

Cyclops, one eyed beasts that are aggressive and territorial. Pure Fighting (maybe part Dark).

Minotaur, the half bull half man beast that guards the Labyrinth. I don't have a typing idea. I would say Fighting, but we've already got a bunch of those.

Sphynx. Not the one from Egypt. These ones are violent creatures. They block your path and ask you a riddle. If you get it wrong they eat you. I don't know the typing, but that could be a fun Pokémon to encounter.

Nymphs. Women of nature. There could be Water types and Grass types. They're all part Fairy.

Sirens. Water/Dark but pretend to be Fairy.

Why not other gods for other Legendaries?

Hades. God of the Spirit World. Dark/Ghost.

Apollo. God of the sun, alchemy, chemistry, prophecies, music, archery, and more. Fire/Fairy.

Artemis. Goddess of the moon and hunt. Apollo's twin sister. Dark/Fairy.

Demeter. Goddess of agriculture. Grass.

Dionysus. God of Wine. Water/Poison.

Ares. God of war. Fighting.

Aphrodite. Goddess of love. Fairy. What's fun about her is she's actually from a foreign place and floated to Greeces on a sea shell, so it could be included that she's from another region.

Athena. Goddess of wisdom and warfare. Fighting/Fairy. She could have an intense rivalry with Posiedon's Pokémon.

Hermes. God of messengers and thieves. Dark/Flying.

Hera. Goddess of mothers and child-birth. Fairy (I feel like she needs a second type). She's also Zeus's wife.

Hephaestus. God of Blacksmiths and Fire. Fire/Steel.

Those are the main gods, but there are so much more!

These could be used for Mythicals.

Thanos. God of Death. Ghost type.

Wait...

And then you have all this heroes from the stories

Odyseus, Achilles, Icarus (not a hero but definitely a great story), Perceus (not Jackson), and so much more!

It would be an amazing region!
