Did you have any canari plushies for surviving?

Well, Froslass is going to be hard for me because my primary Ice type counter just happens to be weak to Ghost so… yeah… and then my anti-Ghost is ALSO weak to Ghost(be it the current one in Aegislash(who needs King Shield move to be of any use from a Defensive standpoint) or my planned one in Froslass). My starter has Crunch(whom I can Mega Evolve) and resists Ice but can't resist Ghost either so if she goes crazy on Shadow Ball… it's going to be over rather quick. I do have Excadrill too but again, Steel lost its Ghost resistance in Gen 6 and he lacks Iron Head until I get the Side Mission to fix the Elevator to go grab it so… ugh. I should get around to buying its Mega Stone though. Why they made it so much more expensive than others I'll never know. I don't have the Green Plushies yet either because I prioritized Pink(for Shards) and Red(for XP). I did another round of XP boost to my five mains(25 S-candies each) so I've bumped everyone to 58-60 range. I did the latest round of Mega roundups with Beedrill surprisingly being the most difficult. Pin Missile is no joke on that one and is why I considered using it as a main since its that good while Banette was actually the easiest. Just brought out Feraligatr, Mega'd it and Crunch'd it to death. Halucha wasn't too hard either, although its Flying Press caught me off guard and had to redo that one(Baal didn't even get to flex on that fight).

Speaking of the Trainer mechanic, I know its a copy and paste from Legends Arceus but if I am to be so bold, I think they should ditch it in favor of what they had in SV with the synchronization thing in Blueberry where you controlled your Pokémon and could fight with it. In other words, take the Trainer out of the equation and just leave it to be Pokémon vs Pokémon. Having to redo things because I the Trainer get KO'd is not fun. Traps in Z-A are surprisingly good, especially if you're facing Melee opponents since they have to come to you to hit you. Toxic Spikes can be countered with Poison or Steel while regular Spikes can be avoided altogether with Flying Types but Stealth Rock… good luck. Not sure if Rapid Spin clears them like in regular battles but that'd be a reason to have it for competitive.

Next time is a Campaign update.

Campaign Update: So the next stage of my Campaign is Rank D against Ivor and the side quest with Emma was kind of fun ngl. In my exploration around City Hall, I inexplicably came across a Dawn Stone on one of the nearby roofs since I didn't know where the person could be and I wanted to get up to a higher vantage point. I was floored because I had already caught a Female Snorunt but had no Dawn Stone to evolve her yet until now so my final Team member in Maleficent is now on my roster. She needs a power boost to bring her up to par with the rest of my squad but I already have an Ice Beam TM available from exploring Wild Zone 12 that gives her a viable Ice Type move. While passively leveling up from Wild encounters + Battles, she learned Shadow Ball so her STAB moveset is good to go. Other moves are Protect and Confuse Ray but I might give her Draining Kiss as a coverage move since I think it fits her theme a tad. Might explore other options too but for now, she just needs Candies.

Now as for the Main mission at hand, fighting Canari again was interesting to say the least but outside of her ace getting a Fire Punch off, she really stood no chance with boosted Ground Moves via Soft Sand(not factoring in Plus Boosts too) from Danu. Next objective was Clawitzer Fountain and thankfully I had an Ice Type on hand with the right move to enter the Sewers. Gwynn was a Ghost user but thankfully her ace is also weak to Water so… say hello to Mega Liquidation(figuratively and literally). I do like Gwynn's character though and I pity her. With Gwynn defeated the battle against Ivor convened in earnest for my Baal, with Fairy Feather equipped, desired sacrificial offerings.

Ivor opens with Heracross. Given it has a Mega, I would think they would pick THAT one to be his ace but I digress. One Moonblast and it falls. Up next is Medicham, which would give Psychic users a modest delay with neutral damage as opposed to x2 but Fairy has no such qualms. Down it goes with a Fairy kiss. Next is Mr.Muscles or Machamp and apparently spends too much time Bulking Up because Baal yawned while slapping him silly with a Moonblast. Finally, his ace is Mega Falinks. Kinky is the word that comes to mind but this matchup was over before it started and that's despite it knowing Iron Head. In Diantha fashion: Checkmate. Baal used Plus Moonblast.

Going to do some Mega Shard rounds to get Exp Candies to get Maleficent powered up. Her Mega Stone will be coming later on in the Campaign. Debating whether to get Excadrill a Mega Stone though. Right now the plan is to have three or Leatherhead + Achlys and Maleficent. That should be enough to finish the game. The only outstanding Side Mission is a battle using a Mega Sabeleye. Since I lack both the Mega Stone and the Pokémon itself, I got to postpone that for now.

    Will update again soon.

    I enjoyed this one, too

I have it on my head that me, Ivor, and Emma are now a trio and meet up every weekend for brunch

Campaign Update: Another late night session results in me hitting Rank C. The whole Rust Syndicate situation has doubled my suspicion on Taunie. That girl needs Naveen, Lida, or myself(or all three) to slap some sense into her because she honestly wouldn't survive on her own and dragging everyone else into her problems is just a bad friend with bad judgment. Just the name of Rust Syndicate implied to me that they use Poison and Steel Pokémon so it was a good thing I had Danu out for the fights. Although he's weak to Ground like Steelix is, he's much faster than it and for once Speed actually helps. I really need a better counter to Skarmory though… Drill Run just wrecks me but thankfully my Brigid can tank the hits(can't imagine how an Electric type would fare). Corbeau's ace is actually pretty good. Anyone that reminds me of Roxie is ok in my book(and yes I'm aware she doesn't have its final form in B2/W2 but she does in the rematches!!)

Next part involves going to SBC and seeing Jacinthe for the first time. Got some flashy new clothes for the occasion that gave Naveen some street cred when the Fashion Designer noted his behind the scenes work without realizing he was there in front of her. I must admit they missed an opportunity to get Taunie into a better look. That excuse regarding the jacket is weak(sentimental or not). Also, Taunie must have some connection to Quasartico somehow. I don't know how or why but the fact she was with the President during the whole Rank C quest path suggests theres something more to her and that organization.

As for Pokémon levels, everyone is roughly 69-73 right now, which is high enough to roll through Rank C part without too much trouble I think. Still need to do another round for a Challenge Ticket though so I might wait on proceeding to get that taken care of. Also have another outstanding Side Mission since I don't have a Flying Type so the Sky Battle one will have to wait. Not like I really like Sky Battles in the first place. Mega Aerodactyl with Stealth Rock, Fire Fang, Stone Edge and a STAB Flying move of your choice is all you need.

Up next is another round of training in Battle Zone(always need more XP) and another round of Mega Shard harvesting before I proceed with the story. Hopefully I'll get through Z-A in the next week or so and as for the Dex, I may actually forego filling it for once given my experience in SV. Still on the fence with Z-A DLC so maybe I'll wait until it goes on sale(if it ever does…).

Campaign Update: So… I'm now Rank B after having beaten Jacinthe and I honestly don't see the hate regarding her. I mean yeah, she's an Aristocrat or Noble as they used to say back in the day with an elitist, snobby and arrogant attitude to the point where she thinks she owns the place by just being there but that's kind of how the upper crust operates. They don't "mingle" with commoners unless they absolutely have to and in Jacinthe's case, she takes being slighted to the extreme. I do like Jacinthe's choice in Mega though and I strongly considered having one myself given Mega Clefable is truly terrifying and is basically the newb's guide to facing Zygarde because it's immune to its STAB attacks and can heal via Draining Kiss. It's basically a glorified Togekiss. I have Sylveon instead so I won't have the Ground immunity but I intend to whack it with x4 Ice with Mega Froslass and Ice Fang on Feraligatr.

My team is roughly level 85 now, which admittedly is a bit over-leveled but I've been exploring Wild Zones for TM's and other items and have caught quite a few alpha's, including a Salamence(just wouldnt go down despite multiple x4 Ice Beams to its face). In terms of missing Pokémon for the Dex, I have Gible, Scyther, Drampa, Delibird(annoying little bird too), Skarmory and Bagon(got the alpha but still need the base and middle). Then there's the other starters but the bulk of whats left is simply evolving + trades if I wanted to indulge my Completionist side. Yet I won't even entertain that until I finish leveling my team and the game itself(and may never bother too).

I'm a bit disappointed in Lida though because although she has a Mega Ring, she's still yet to evolve her Staryu despite Naveen saying as much. She was there against Mega Altaria but hardly did much… mostly because Mega Froslass(which I beat prior to that) shoved x4 Ice Beams to its face. Naveen has gotten better over the course of the game while Taunie… needs more slaps upside the head. Oh, and a bit of a tangent here but why is her hair color Pink? It reminds me of a French animated series with a Pink Haired main character(if you want to know which one, just ask me. The entire series is free to watch on Youtube btw). In some ways Taunie behaves much in the manner of the character in that series.

Anyways, time to grind another Challenge Ticket for Rank A. I know a final throwdown with Taunie and the MZ crew is inevitable but given my levels they should be too hard. I've just come to find that the only two Pokémon that truly give me issues are Gyarados(normal, not Mega) and Skarmory. Outside of that… I'm fine so long as I'm not out there with a Type disadvantage. Update to come soon.
