Budew made me quit
I’m new to Pokémon TCG but I’ve played other TCGs in the past, magic being the one I played the most. I just wanted to provide my feedback, I’m sure I’ll get flamed but oh well.
Game was great until I got near masters and now everyone plays Budew and it’s been an autoloss nearly every time he’s played. I play Charizard/Pidgeot because it was the deck I had the most cards for. I’d basically have to neuter the decks consistency to not autolose to this card meaning my best option is to play a different deck entirely which I don’t really have the patience to build. Furthermore I was really enjoying my Charizard deck.
Budew is an extremely unfun way to lose and he morphs the game in a very unfun way. The thing I originally liked about this game (that it is fast paced) has been completely flipped at the high end by, seemingly, this single card. It’s preference I know, and some folks probably love the slower pace. For me personally though, it takes away the very thing that got me hooked and I’m now just done with the game entirely because it’s so common.
I get my opinion doesn’t matter, and I’m just one guy, but I just wanted to come here and say I’m one guy less that plays the game because of how cheesy and unfun this card is. +1 vote for banning Budew from standard otherwise this game just isn’t for me.

I hope you're joking... quiting the game because Budew lol
It's not the game fault that you don't have the cards or the patience to adapt/change your decks.
But if you're serious... fine, you're free to quit... but it's not even close for them to think about ban the card... there were cards way way... by far much more toxic than Budew, that were never banned... come on.
They will never ban Budew. If you played other TCGs you know you have to adapt your decks to the meta or you will be left behind.

I hate budew too. And figured its attack was the most used card of the year. Low hp, but 0 energy attack that can cripple your hand an ruin your turn. If your lucky , then you started with a pokemon in the active that can knock him out right away. If your opppnent uses a tool card that raises his hp to 80.…it can be a very unfun match.
All the most annoying decks have added budew. I added it to my decks just to do the same to the other player. Now i never choose to go first.
But i will agree that matches are alot less enjoyable since this card was added.

In all seriousness though, I feel like quitting over a pokemon card is kinda overreacting. If its quitting tcg, I guess that's okay, but quitting pokemon entirely, is overreacting. And if its really too much of a problem, then why not stop playing for a while and wait until the meta changes? Then again, im just kinda talking and play tcg when I feel like it so I don't really know. Just wanted to say this idea
