Time For Vol.4 of our Manga

"Great work, Lucario," Taunie hollers, returning the fallen dog. She then sends out a Goodra. Mega Feraligatr returns to Paxton's side, burned.

"Alright, Hydro Pump," Paxton says.

"Do the same," Taunie shouts.

The two Pokémon take a deep breath in, water particles gathering at their mouth. Then, they exhale in sync, a giant beam of water shooting forth, completely destroying the pack of Rouge Mega Evolutions. Ange thinks they just finished it. Usually a move like that would end her Megas.

However, after the mist from the water disappears, the lions are still standing, seeming unharmed. Three of them dash towards the Dragon types with Crunch. Another three stay in the back using Hyper Beam. The last one, also the one that's always in the middle (so Taunie assumes it's the male leader), charges in with Flare Blitz.

"Meet them head on with Superpower," Paxton commands. Feraligatr sprints up to the on coming Megas, fist pulled back. Once in range, it slams its hand into it with an intense amount of force. Two of the Crunch lions get hit, but the third one avoids it and it along with the male hit it with the attack.

"Stop the ones in the back with Hydro Pump," Taunie tells her Goodra. It tries to stop them, but is only able to stop one of them, the other two releasing their giant blast. They hit the Dragons, which are barely hanging on there.

Feraligatr shines brightly as its Mega Evolution power runs out. "That's not good," Ange mutters, panic beginning to fill her. She doesn't know why she's worrying, though. She should be thankful they are failing!

If they fall to they Pyroars, she won't have to stress about pretending to be friendly anymore. All her problems will be solved! But seeing them to their end, it makes her feel this tight knot in the pit of her stomach.

It's not really seeing them close to death, though. It's seeing Taunie so close. She doesn't want to admit it, but she a bit attached to the girl.

The Pyroars get into a circle again, flaming up the one in the center. Taunie and Paxton are exhausted, as well as their Pokémon (which is now a Malamar and Meganium). They running, around, desperately trying to stop the lions.

They're too tired, though, and their movements are slow and sloppy. They fail to stop any of the six and the middle explodes, obliterating the couple and their Pokémon.

"NO," Ange screams, seeing Taunie fall to her knees. As if instinct, she raises her arms above her head, taking the Mega Energy with it. She then throws her arms down, causing all the power to burst.

The Pyroars shine as the energy leaves them. The lions blink a couple time, looking around, confused. Ange then rushes over to Taunie. "Are you okay," she asks, her panic evident.

"Yeah," the other girl responds, letting Ange pull her up. "Just a bit hot."

Ange sighs with relief. She looks over and sees Paxton already up, helping the Pyroars adjust to being normal again. I guess he does have a heart, she thinks to herself as she watches him help the pack back to their Wild Zone.

That night

That's odd... the Shiny Darkrai thinks, looking over the city. I know the Pyroars won. I watched them beat the kids before I went to sleep. Where did their power go?

It thinks back to the events. That heterchrom with the pink hoodie, it thinks. She was doing something with the barrier.

Now that it thinks about it, there was something different about that girl. Something familiar. She had the same aura as the power it is taking from the tower.

But how could that be? She should be a simple mortal! The white nightmare looks over at the hotel, sensing her presence.

I'll have to keep my eye on you...
