Paxton and Taunie approaches the herd, their Pokémon right behind them. Ange goes a nearby bench, sitting down and watching. Yes, she knows she could use her powers and help defeat the pack, but she doesn't want to reveal the abilities. Plus, it's like she told them. Not her problem so why should she do something.
Once the couple and their Pokémon get close to the Rouges, the Mega Energy swirls around them, creating a new battle field and blocking other people from entering. Ange smirks.
She remembers creating that. It was supposed to prevent other Pokémon from getting too close to the Rouge Mega, but then it became a way to force only specific people into the fight. She prefers the way it is used, though. She has seen so many arrogant humans fall to the Rouge Megas in these.
As she looks at the barrier closer, however, she notices black and purple mist surrounding it. That's not what I made, she thinks. First, a Rouge Mega she didn't cause. Now her creation has changed. Something weird is going on...
"Dragon Rush," she hears Paxton shout. Curious on how the battle is going, Ange walks up to the battle field. She looks inside and sees Paxton and Taunie struggling to hold their own.
Taunie has switched Pokémon, a Mega Emboar out. Paxton's Charizard is now Mega X, slamming into two of the Mega Pyroars with the commanded attack.
"Follow that up with Close Combat," Taunie states. Mega Emboar rushes into action, obliterating the two lions that Charizard just hit. The two don't fall but definitely felt it.
Ange has to be honest, the couple works great together, working on perfect sync. She is so wrapped up in the battle, she doesn't notice the Energy flowing from the barrier to her hands. It isn't until she feels a sudden risk of power that she looks and sees that.
She presses her hands harder into the wall, more Mega Energy coming into her. "That's cool," she mutters. Ange is snapped out of her concentration by Taunie's scream.
She looks up, seeing all the Pyroars in a circle, shooting flames at one in the middle. Emboar lies on the ground unconscious. Paxton's Charizard is no longer Mega Evolved, using Rock Slide on the Pyroars that are firing up the middle one. Some of the lions loose concentration, stopping the flames. However, that's not enough.
The one in the middle roars loudly as it unleashes a giant explosion, all the built up fire bursting from it. Taunie and Paxton barely get out of range, but Charizard isn't as lucky. Even though the attack is not very effective, it collapses.
"Good work," Paxton tells it, returning it to the ball. Ange sighs.
"They should have left it alone," she says to herself as Taunie sends her female Meowstic back out, Paxton sending out a male.
