I've decided to play the DLC. Spoilers for the beginning.
Ansha seems like she has trouble with her parents. It's also implied that she's stayed at Richissime or some other busier hotel than hotel Z. Maybe Diantha is often absent due to being both an actor and a Champion? Or maybe her parents are "gone" and she's Diantha's little sister.
Also, the rival tells Grisham and Tarragon (not a combination I ever expected to see in this game) "This Lumiosian butter isn't big enough for the both of us." I don't even know what to say about that. Also, I guess it's to add some battles into the beginning, like how Klara/Avery, Peony, Carmine, and Lacey battle you in the beginning of their DLCs, but it feels like a conflict spawned from almost literally nothing.
Edit: Apparently, only one enemy Pokémon can Mega Evolve at once, so in a multi battle the other opponent doesn't Mega Evolve their Pokémon until you defeat the other's Mega.

Ansha's theme is a remix of Diantha's (or at least includes a part of it)?! I know they're connected in some way, but I wasn't expecting that for some reason.

She mentions surprising her mama. Maybe the only thing I guessed right is that she's related to Diantha, and she went to hotel Z because she wants to keep it a surprise.
Also, if Diantha got pregnant immediately after XY, that would make Ansha 4. I kind of thought she might be nine since she speaks well and looks like Poppy. Even a four year old acts older than Poppy...
This is also more evidence to Z-A having been supposed to be 10 years after XY and they only changed it at the last minute, along with L.
I'm entering Hyperspace Lumiose soon (I don't count that as a spoiler since Hyperspace Lumiose has been revealed in the trailers).

Ansha says she's used to sitting alone in hotels. Maybe I'm right about Diantha not being there for her often?

Important thing I noticed about the wild Pokémon (technically a spoiler, but only mentions gameplay and Pokémon levels)
The Lv. 105 Swablu I caught is only a Lv. 20, and the Lv. 99 Pidgey was a Lv. 14 one. I get that they don't want Lv. 100 wild Pokémon other than Magikarp and that one Haxorus in the older games, but it's a very strange choice to make their levels decrease this much after catching when the DLC has trainer battles with Lv. 70 Pokémon at the start.

Korrina might be a Psychic-type human since she can float mid-air for quite a few seconds when she Mega Evolves her Pokémon. I wrote this before even finishing the fight because of how shocked I was by that. Also, Delphox has OHKO'd all of her Pokémon so far (even using Dazzling Gleam, a non-stab move), which is interesting considering she's using Lv. 85 Pokémon.

Mega Crabominable is so ugly and weird that it's beautiful.
Edit: They almost defeated my whole team that was all Lv. 120. That was a terrifying battle, I'm glad I used a high quality donut.
