A Place To Complain

Where it (the original version in DPPt) had even more features than solely being a rhythm game before they decided to remove contests in the remake, but without actually removing them so people don't complain as much as they would have.

With Sword you're missing and entire over 100 curry dex of cooking to make and the sheer HILARIOUS expression the Pokémon when they taste my curry (5 star (once)).

I'm normally more of a fan of being thrown into my path without too many mini games, though I enjoy mini games more in Pokémon games. Sword was lacking in mini games but we had cooking and letting your Pokémon play TOGETHER instead of just with YOU and I could watch Whisper and Vera do… whatever it is they're doing (sometimes Whisper gets angry, then Vera's like "hey calm down buddy" and then he's like "ok fine") for HOURS. If I ever want to fight Leon again without it just being some level 70s I can smash in ten seconds, I can fight at the battle tower. And fight Leon again. Did no one else notice this is the only time we've ever gotten to rematch the Champion on even terms?! Plus I'm always in Sword ready to go explore the Wild Area for forever or hunt down Max Mushrooms or all sorts of things.
Violet though is barely enough content to make me actually play through it once. TotK is better than Violet. And I can rant about how TotK is a crappy Zelda game for DAYS.
X might've had mini games, but once you reach unlimited on them it just gets dull. Like, "oh, I beat my high score bye one and got some cupcakes"
I DO love Mantine Surfing for a while, but then I get every move and just get bored of it. Ultra Wormholes just "weeeeeee oops" then I just end up in some random place and fight a lvl 60 birdie, then leave and do it all over again. The Inverse World is basically just time switch, which is just like "why". The Battle Tree was fun but my favorite battle facility is still the Battle Tower, I mostly just like the battle tree for Red and teaming up with Lillie.1 -
Dragonite is great. Starmie is "Why". Like he's just Starmie with legs. He's trying to "imitate humans"? But why? He's never shown ANY interest in humans. In fact, he's one of the LESS interested. He seems to be communicating with space all the time.

Hmm.
In hindsight, I ranted. Whoops.1 -
There's this one NPC in Z-A that I just got to, Jacqueline? I can't remember their name but this has to be the worst NPC I've encountered in Pokemon. Me and the rival leave her tournament thing to take care of Rouge Megas, and she threatens us, stalks us, and traps us in the Hotel Z courtyard with a custom Battle Zone. She says that her tournament is as important as Rouge Megas who are close to hurting a lot of the city's people and Pokemon! This person is the eppitemy of spoiled rich kid!
Z-A Spoiler for people who haven't played the game yet. Sorry for the rant.

For the new megas I love some, like I applaud Nintendo for their job. But that's counteracted by the fact that we have stuff like Mega Starmie and Mega Victreebell
