okay do you want an essay or no? Because I have one. Admittedly BotW is better than TotK because it has better plot coherence but still is a bit ridiculous and I still like TwiPri far more because I really don’t like side quests since they just make things feel so much less urgent which is one of my favorite parts of Zelda. Also TotK really banished the whole “being the hero can suck” theme of Zelda that’s been in what I’ve played. BotW kinda kept it but not as well.

Different people like different things, I guess. I like messing around and exploring everywhere, and I feel side quests and similar little things give the open world actual purpose (unlike SV, where it's just purposeless, gigantic empty fields you can't do anything in).

I suppose giant empty fields you can do something in are better than ones that you can't do anything in

I think all three starters for Kalos are strong in their own way. If you wanted to be argumentative, make a case to change/add a typing to an existing Pokémon. To me, Ninetales(Kanto) needs a secondary typing after all these years. Psychic is probably the first typing to come to mind or Ghost given its movepool but I advocate Fairy to mirror its Alolan variant while also becoming the first Fire/Fairy Pokémon. Fire/Fairy would be kind of strong given it beats Bug, Grass, Ice, Steel, Fighting, Dark and Dragon with movepool coverage against Rock, Poison, Ghost, Ground and Water.

I've always been split between its hypothetical second type being Psychic or Ghost as well

    It just feels right

Personality, thought, I've always wanting the Galar trio to get an additional type

    Cinderace part Fighting

    Inteleon Bug, Dark, or Flying

    Rillaboom Dark or Fighting

I know this thread was originally at Delphox, but seeing as my boy Charizard got brought into the mix I thought I could be fun to say something. One thing to note, I haven’t played online battles in most Pokemon games, so my opinion (not trying to be argumentative here) will be strictly about normal gameplay.

So to start, I will be the first to admit that Charizard is hyped up more then needs to be, and I’m saying that when he’s my favorite Pokémon! But on gameplay, one thing I have found personally is that the reason you have teams is to make up for your other Pokémon’s weaknesses. And that, I feel, is the biggest clincher. Most people (that I have seen) start there “Charizard isn’t that great” argument with how he’s 4x weaker to rock. Yes, that is a big weakness, but that’s what a team is for, a team makes up for all the weaknesses your pokemon have. All Pokemon have weaknesses so you balance to make up for it, Charizard isn’t ment to be a one man band, no Pokemon is, so a 4x rock type weakness isn’t something that’s hard to plan around. But onto Charizard himself, one thing that I have found personally is that with Charizard able to learn two ground type move that I can think of off the top of my head, Dig and Earthquake. Now I will agree that Charizard is more special then physical an attack. But his attack stat isn’t that bad ether, at 84A and 109Sp his attack is lower than his special but it’s not low enough that big power move won’t work well. Another point is his speed, it’s not that bad at an even 100 vs most NPC enemies, so he’s faster then most things, even if they do know a rock type move. Not to mention that most rock type moves are learned by rock type Pokemon, and there slow to begin with. And with his X mega, not always available, he does lean to a physical attacker, making his ground type moves even more deadly. Now, to end (sorry it’s long) I know that Charizard isn’t the best Fire/Flying type, but he is one of the good ones, with good variety of moves, good resistances (6) and only three weaknesses, as well as other strengths, and with a good balanced team, definitely one to fear when he has back up.

If you made it to the end, thanks for listening, I ment no offense with what I have said(I just like my boy), have a good day
