I've been doing UTC all wrong

I misunderstood the first time, thinking I subtract five from my time

Now it told me subtract five UTC

Now I'm getting subtract six UTC

So if I understand correctly, I get on 12 AM and off 3:30 AM UTC not including breaks or extra time
