Duplicate card credits

I just got a duplicate Lugia Vstar from the battle pass, and received way less credits than I had used when creating it. A duplicate should give the full credit cost of a similar card.

Actually, why do we even have this greedy crafting system when there is no monetization in the game anyway? Seems pretty strange.
